Yellow gold under 40?

I'm curious if anyone on the younger side of 40 is sporting a rolex with yellow gold? These days its less in style for the younger guys (particularly in north america i would guess).

that being said that TT bluesy sub is growing on me every month that goes by, am i alone? I think I need to get one, im 36...who cares right?

You'll be fine, before I was forty I had a gold GMT and Sub and I'm in the UK which is more understated, wear what you like, no one else really cares nor do they matter.

I know plenty of young guys wearing RG and YG that can afford it. TBH its mostly due to the money factor for younger guys.

Not many younger guys can afford to buy PM pieces - they are still growing in their career, getting mariied, starting family etc....much better use of money than a gold watch.

Well part of the reason for me is that the TT bluesy is similar in price to the sd43, not suggesting its cheap at all but not crazy like the all PM watches.

Wear what you want. I'm 38, my wife is against me wearing an all yg watch, but I'd do it. Let everyone else worry about what is cool. Do you.

I agree, I think yellow gold is making a comeback, but is it to bling for a North American, particularly Canada culture? For a young person that is?

I don't see a problem with it. I'm 30 and have owned a few different YG Rolex's. If it looks and feels right go for it.

I'm under 40 and rocked a rose gold DD40 for a while. Ultimately I found the bright PM to not really fit my style. I think maturity played a small roll, but for the most part it just didn't get fit my day to day look. Wrist time became too infrequent so I flipped it.

I loved the watch very much though, still do. I think it's all about your style. If you're feelin it, go for it!

I bought my first YG watch (yachtmaster) when I was 30, that was twelve years ago. Since then I had an 18k sub. Both were lovely and I don't think she was a factor. It stands out more when you are younger that's all.

I don't wear YG because it doesn't suit me, that's all.

If you like it and money isn't an issue then go for it. It's not so much what you wear, it's how you wear it.

I'd love to get a day date at some point but I am worried it will dent and scratch very easily :(

Not sure what you're worried about. I will say mine is a weekend warrior, I don't wear it to work. I also don't flaunt it in people's faces or anything. No one has said anything to me, maybe they think it's a Michael Kors or something.

I wore a YG Daytona on a bracelet when I was in my mid-30's. No issues and loved the watch. I have two PM watches now and wear them less than when I was younger. I guess tastes change over time but most days I only wear my SS sport watches.

Age has nothing to do with wearing YG. It's a personal style choice, as simple as that. Generally, if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't.
