DeepSea James Cameron at my AD

I wish I was in the market for a DeepSea Cameron. My AD has one in stock right now. Aren’t these a little difficult to get?

Your AD can’t sell a JC? That’s crazy

Here in the UK they’re a waiting list Watch, with ADs only getting 3-4 a year in some cases.

I got the call on one last week and am now the proud owner.

This is the same AD who had a SS SkyD and Ceramic Daytona unspoken for ? Astonishing! This is how it’s meant to be - go to a dealer, see the watch you want, buy it.

The only place I can imagine coming across this would be at an airport AD 30 seconds after that quarter’s delivery arrived

My AD had a JC deepsea out on display. I tried it on and no thanks that things way too big for me! Wish they had a SkyD blue dial though.

I've only ever seen them on display in grey dealers in the UK for about £2k above retail, never on display in an AD. There is usually someone waiting on the list at the AD.

My AD also had one over the weekend. Not in the display case, but kept in the safe for clients of the AD. Hard pass for me - way too big and chunky for my liking. Stunning dial though.

This past weekend, a friend walked into a Long's Jeweler in the greater Boston area and saw one for sale.

Put a deposit on it, called me to get my thoughts, went back in the next day and purchased it.

Congratulations, it’s still almost impossible to find here in the Uk at RRP.

I saw one in the window of an AD in July in Nice, France. However with the exchange rate it was significantly more than the UK.

I walked into my AD and they had it in the showcase. I thought that's how all Rolex were sold

I really like this watch, and have been offered one. The only thing holding back is that people keep calling it the James Cameron. Just the thought cheapens it....so cheesy ! Why can't people just call it the deep blue?!

Certain markets it doesn’t say DBlue.
2017 ones only say 116660 (at least mine does anyway)

Yes, plus Cameron has made some great movies, it's not like this is the Steven Seagal D-Blue.

I know, I realize I'm being silly as well, it just really cheapens it in my opinion. This is a $12, 000 watch that can stand on its own. Doesn't need to be associated with some pseudo celebrity

The Steven Seagal D-blue!!!!!

I like it already sign me up for one please.
He was my hero back in the day.

“Who killed Nesta ???”
“White man Hatcher ??? “

Kudos to anyone naming the film :-)

In addition it’s a bit unfair calling Cameron a pseudo celebrity. The guy has done some good work and is a top adventurer into the bargain !!!

Steven Seagal Sea Dweller would be most appropriate if he ever became an ambassador...

Not sure that’s correct, the warranty card should read D-Blue or it could be a standard 116660 with a new dial fitted

Curious to hear more feedback on this myself. I know I wouldn't buy one without the card saying D blue or you have a situation where you don't know if the watch was born with that dial. If that's the case it loses all collectibility

We're not talking about a Kardashian

Think it's great that Rolex devoted the resources to make the Deep Sea and the Challenge

It's an interesting read
