Icon5 Sport watch for every day... max 40mm

I'm stuck ! I have a 39 mm OP Blue dial - love it ! Almost too much to wear every day
Also have a Tudor Black bay blue ...

The Sub no date would be a good choice but I have tried it on several times and find it just too large for me

The black bay is a tad large but wearable / sub is just bigger
I'd like to stay in the current line up - Thought abut the Explorer ? It's in the running but something about it has not clicked

What else should be in the running ?.... I'd like to stay with Rolex

IMHO an Explorer 2 16570 either black face or a polar. I have both and collectively they are by far my favourite watches ahead of both of my subs.

If a 40mm Sub is too big (maxi case) try an older 5 digit Sub, GMT ll or an Explorer ll also 5 digit 40mm.

If you think the sub wears too big go with a steel daytona. They wear smaller. Or maybe a 16710. Both of those are perfect daily wears. And both will retain their value well should you get tired of them.

Yep 16570, have a look at some online videos or better still of course try and get to put one on your wrist before discounting it. Pictures don't do it justice and it is very comfortable on

I think the 39mm Explorer would be right up your alley

The older subs have narrower lugs and would fit well but looking for newer watch just to be headache free

full disclosure - just received a 116000 - 36 mm silver face - wears larger than most 36 mm [ which is good ] - it is also too nice for my daily wear

Just got done unloading a furniture truck , now I'm back at desk ready for sales

I end up wearing a Squale 20 atmos[ sub homage ] most days , not worried if it gets beat up

Explorer ll flies under the radar - I'll check it out
My Daughter just bought an Explorer 1 to give her fiance on their wedding day
I was instrumental in that choice and feel awkward getting the same

5 digit sub or Daytona.

Believe me, buy right and they are bullet proof don't worry about the age. Equally a 5 digit exp II would be great.

You should definitely try on the GMT 16710. So comfortable, and adds a bit of colour so you don't tire of it.

Yes, that is a very good proposal. A nice and unobtrusive Rolex.

Please try on a 5 digit sub/gmt before giving up on them.

I bought a 16710 GMT Pepsi for this exact purpose. As a daily watch I can wear to do anything in- swim, fix stuff, go to work, etc. An explorer II is also a great choice, but I find the GMT's more interesting due to the rotatable bezel, and the ability to swap insert.

I think you should stick with your OP, IMO. It's a great daily wearer...my wife has worn hers nearly every single day since Christmas of last year.

Sounds like nothing else really fits the bill. And...why force it?

You could always go in a different direction and add an Omega Speedmaster to your collection. Available in 38mm, 39mm, 40mm, 42mm, and 44.25mm.

Explorer (I) is a good choice as is the Datejust. They should both fit you nicely.

I would suggest looking at a tudor ranger, I have a sub and a milgauss and my ranger is the perfect work/tool watch. Once I saw it and tried it on I was hooked and still am. There's just something about it for me, I know it's a keeper.

My Black Bay to me wears much bigger than my SubC. If you want to stay with the current lineup and not look into 5 digits, I think you're options with the OP, Explorer I, Daytona, BB36, DJ36. Also look into the North Flag and Air King. I find that without the rotating bezels like on the Subs, GMTs, Black Bays, etc. The watches look and feel smaller.

I would definitely suggest Explorer 1 but since it has not clicked with you, try stainless steel Datejust.
