Best stainless steel polishing cloth - from Japan
Hi folks, if any of you visit Japan, do yourself a favour and visit any of the Tokyu Hand department stores and pickup one of these polishing clothes. It's absolutely amazing! It's better than Cape Code. If anyone from Australia is going soon, could you please PM me? I'd love to pick up another couple.

I wouldn't mind trying it on my beater watches to keep the bracelet (mostly the clasp) looking decent.

My niece lives in Japan. I'm going to see if there is one near her in Nagoya. Maybe pick up a few and ship them to me for form members??

Sounds good. Of course instead of waiting to get it in Japan you could just order it on eBay. It ships to Aussie.

The package comes with two pieces of cloth. They are completely dry. The cloth will darkened with the stains removed from the steel. You don't need to wash the cloth and can be reused over and over again. I give my Daytona a clean once a week, right after its wash and comes up just like new! It's absolutely magic!!

Reminds me of this (which I used to use, in further ruining the good scrap metals produced at my bench).
Gray Star Compound Made of very fine uniform aluminum oxide abrasive, produces a good cut with no wild scratches and works to good color on all metals. A nice article on cutting compounds: https://www.ganoksin.com/article/buf...ing-materials/ |
