With years of these Costco Rolex threads, has anyone on the forum actually purchased a Rolex from Costco??

That would be interesting to learn, perhaps a thread devoted to that question would be a good idea.

I have never purchased a Rolex from Costco. This RG Daytona 116515 was also at a Costco in SoCal. Nice watch, but not for me. Just doing a little research here on TRF, I found these do not hold their value. A slightly used 116515 was selling for $4500 less than this Costco price. So, my take away is.....there is a reason these models have made their way to Costco watch displays and I highly doubt you’ll see a Daytona 116500 anytime soon. That’s being said, there may be an occasional anomaly....such as a YG Sub or BLRO for the lucky person who happens to be pushing his/her fully loaded shopping cart past the watch display at that moment.

if costco had what i was looking for at the right price, i would not hesitate to buy there.
they have a great return policy.
my wife once return a long armchair after a year of using it...they took it back.

Was at Costco today and for the first time ever here it is!!!
What’s going on with Rolex??

Don’t get me wrong I love Costco but with that shift and with Rolex showing up at Costco (a warehouse that picks only good deals) does that mean Rolex is giving watches at much discounted prices ? That would allow Costco to have it on their shelves??

Yep, saw a Platinum Day-Date with ice blue dial at Costco for about ~$52,000 about a year and a half ago if I recall correctly

I like the Royal Oak.......but I’d never have that one.....too Pink. I’m just not a fan of rose gold. I’m sure there’s a reason why Costco has this watch.....maybe it’s just not selling and giving it to Costco was the best way to get rid of it.....

Costco sells seasonal items.....Rolex is one of them. Christmas and Mother’s/Fathers day according to Costco admin I spoke with.

Another candidate for the "ignore" list. Costco is an excellent company to do business with.

FWIW, I think Rolex stock depends on the demographics of the store. The one near me almost always has a DJ, YM2, or other not hard to get Rolex as well as maybe an Omega and some less expensive brands. But I haven't seen PM Rolexes there. They do have the above SS or TT watches year round, though. It's right next to the $30k diamonds and bracelets.

For me,unless the original warranty card that was assigned to the watch came with it, no deal.

I was on me phone.

But my main point was that these god-awful COSTCO threads go on and on. They're all the same.

"I saw model X Rolex at COSTCO." Here's a sideways pic of it in the case... discuss.

I might buy from Costco if we didn't have sales tax, I'd charge it on my Costco card for 2% reduction and with executive card another 2%. I'd triple check the return policy just to be sure, although the last manager that pulled one out for me said no issues if there's a problem. Fully stickered, box, booklets everything but warrantee card.

Well, I’m a relative noob here. This is actually my first thread on TRF. I haven’t seen a Costco thread.

As far as Costco threads go, this is a 6/10 at best

People continue to be shocked and appalled by the idea of buying a Rolex at costco... and I have no idea why.

Meanwhile, we haven't even discussed the recurring "returned kayak" episode

Sheesh, even Costco is out of SS watches.

I love Costco. Family and I go there at least twice a week when in LA.

I agree 100%. Miami, Texas, Southern Cal seem to get the biggest selection. Up here in New England, north of Boston I've only seen an OP Date and a Ladies DJ for sale.

Yeah, that was my Kayak and it was returned late because of the laziness of a Costco employee at the store it was bought from. They told me it couldn't be returned. When I moved to MA the store here informed me during discussion that the other employee had acted inappropriately and did the return seven years after it should have been taken back. What's your problem with that. If I'd known better I'd have spoken to the manager of the Bend Oregon store where I bought the Kayak ad called them on it. We were in the middle of moving back east; the kayak made the trip on the van.

It isn't a problem no matter what. No one is forced to participate in a thread. Anyone in the thread is a willing participant and has no reason to complain that the thread exists. If they don't want to read it they can scroll on by.

My point is, OP had no idea about the can of worms he was (potentially) opening. Some members are tired of costco threads (personally I'm not) but it's not his fault. As you said, nobody is forced to read or reply

Regarding your return of the kayak, I have no problem with it. Whatever returns Costco accepts is up to them as a business. I was referring to the numerous threads where other members got bent out of shape over it

I know, I was trying to protect the store's credibility and didn't post all the details. That's what I get. I was using it as a point that they really do stand up to their commitments. Some were indignant (one in particular) that I was abusing the policy. What ever!! Some just really get high off of taking others to task and sticking their noses in where they don't belong. So it goes. PS. Excuse my saying. "what's your problem with that;" I guess it's a sore point for me.
