Bracelet from Saudi Arabia, anyone seen one like this before?

I have this bracelet from my mother that was bought in Saudi Arabia some time in the 70s when we lived there.

Is there anyone out there that has seen one like this before? It is 18k gold and weighs 43 grams. It has the Saudi coat of arms in every second link.

Can anyone read out the name of the retailer printed in the box? I can only make out the phone number(25743), I have not tried calling it...

I have seen similar bracelets in several gold souks in the ME. I’m curious if there’s any special significance to the presence of the COA, or if it’s just a common pattern.

Thank you for formulating my question for me!

Yes, is there any significance of the coat of arms or is it just a common thing in the middle east?

I have concluded that the top line says Riyadh and the last word on the second line is the same word. So I assume the dealers name is the first word on the second line. Can any Arabic speaking members please have a try?

My guess is that it probably comes from a dealer in the gold souk, there is a ladies Omega watch(also gold) in an identical box too.

Thank you, it is beautiful. It does actually fit my wrist, but I looked like a cheap suburban criminal wearing it(I had an adidas trainer jacket on when I tried it...).

I asked my coworker and he says that it’s just a general phrase that says something along the lines of “a place that sells jewelry in Riyadh ”

Thanks, it was most likely just bought at a place in the gold souk selling jewelry.

To me it is a bit strange having the coat of arms on a piece of jewelry. I had the Swedish COA on the buttons on a uniform in the army, but on jewelry...?

Anyway, I guess it is just a somewhat common thing in the middle east and there is no significance what so ever.
