For those of you that haven't viewed the very long video with Ming Thein, he revealed that there are currently 11 watches in development with 3 already at the early prototype stage.
One will be introduced towards the end of this year and two others next year. He claims that the next watch will be more interesting than this one.
Looks like a lot to look forward to from this brand.

In terms of meeting expectations, the short answer is yes for me. I'm quite sure I will wear this in regular rotation with Rolex, Lange, AP etc. I find that quite outstanding for a $900 watch.

I'll keep saying it, if exactly the same watch with the same finishing and the same ETA, or Sellita movement inside had a name like IWC or so on the dial it would cost 5000 or more and people would still buy it
On A blog to watch the reviewed 2 new Tiffany watch
One of them is about the same ( no complications, Sellita, steel instead of titanium) and it will cost you 6000 USD

I'm really looking forward to their next projects. Today it is still a micro brand but that could change if they keep making interesting pieces.

The watch is getting big attention on the purists website
Www.watchprosite.com

Anyway like most of you know that is a site with some serious collectors, I would say most of the watches and brands are quite above the average watch on other forums LOL

So it seems Ming watches - although in a completely different category - get a lot of respect from the big collectors too

The second batch of the Ming watch, 50 pieces, were sold out in less than 3 minutes this morning! I was lucky to got a blue one and now I am looking forward to receiving it.

Congratulations!
I was on the website timely but got shut out. It kept telling me that my credit card number was not valid even after I scanned it. I was not happy.

I contacted Ming via email and they were unaware of any website issues. They tried to blame the card issuer which I don't believe because their payment page kept asking for a "valid credit card number " which I supplied both manually and by scanning the actual card.
It didn't make me any happier.

I am sorry to hear that! My transaction was via PayPal and I didn't have any problems. You may want to just check with your credit card company to made sure it's not them that blocked the transaction. I don't know where Ming Watch was registered, and these days, credit card company's software is aggressively blacking certain transatlantic and transpacific transactions. In this case, everything went so quickly.

Thanks for the info about PayPal. I'll use it next time and hopefully will get in on time. Looks like there's only one batch left before they move on to the next model.
Good for you though on snagging one. Post pics when you get it.

A few months ago I made a rather large purchase ($5500) from a vendor in another state. The card company would not process it due to the amount and the fact it was from another state - I had to contact the card company to obtain approval. I agree PayPal is the way to go.

There were definitely issues with direct credit card payment. Initially I had the same problem, but the second time (after it requested a valid number) I opted to pay via PayPal (albeit entering my card details manually as I don't have a PayPal account any more) and it worked.

I just received the watch. The dial is beautiful and I think I will wear it regularly with my others in rotation.

I really like the overall aesthetic, with the blue on blue being a particularly nice combo.

I like it a lot
The thing that surprises me the most is that these relatively cheap Ming watches are always found with people that already have a very good collection

I met up with Ming some weeks before his watches were officially revealed to the world. Yes, look out for future watches. They will be very, very interesting.

That’s great, congratulations!
I tried but got shut out again. Guess I’ll have to wait for the next two releases.

Ming will be announcing two new models before the end of the year that will be available in March, 2018.
