JlC Reverso stopped beating; HELP!

My knowledgeable fellow watch lovers:

I just purchased a jlc reverso tribute to 1931. It wound butterly smooth. However, today after I drained the battery and demagnetized it, I went ahead and wound it like usual. Only later did I realized that my Reverso is not beating even though I wound it. I checked and made sure I didn't over wound it. What's the problem???

Did you fully wind it?
Did you give it a little shake to get the escapement going?
Why did you demagnetize it?

Battery? Presumably that’s a Freudian slip and you meant the let the mainspring wind down.
Aside from doing as Bas suggests with giving it a bit of a shake, there’s not much we can do for you – it’ll have to go to a good independent repairer or Richemont’s Service Centre.

It was going +30 s a day and I used a compass to check if it has been magnetized, which it was a bit.

I fully wound it and gave a lot of shakes in hope that it was the escapement...

If it were in fact magnetized in a way that the accuracy of the movement is influenced it would most likely gain a lot more than 30sec a day.

This is because the hairspring windings stick to each other and significantly shorten the 'effective work length', this makes it speed up and beat irregularly. 10-20sec per minute gain is not uncommon when a watch is magnetized.

Can you still wind the movement as you normally could? but it just won't run? Or can you not wind it at all?

I wound it to the point that if I were to give more force it might break the mainspring.. but it still won't beat):

I'd take it to the AD and let a watchmaker take a look at it. No way to tell what is going on without opening it.

By the way, I wouldn't worry about overwinding the watch.
I've tested three different movements to see if I could overwind, I cannot snap the mainspring even when deliberately trying to.
Now this is no guarantee that it isn't possible with a little force, one mainspring can be a lot thinner and weaker than the other, but still. They are made to withstand quite a bit of force.
