Opinions on the Piaget Polo?

Considering picking up a SS Piaget Polo Date in the next day or two. Anyone have any pros/cons to throw out there?

I’ve got the grey one and love it. Alternate brushing/polish on the bracelet is great, watch is thin and comfortable and has a beautifully finished movement. My only complaint is with the bracelet - no micro-adjustment and I wish that it tapered a bit at the clasp.

Tried one in the flash last summer, really loved it, all this it’s a Nautilus homage is nonsense, it’s a beautiful watch in its own right, at the price point I was very very tempted, kind of still am but there’s a lot at the general price point that are also lovely so it’s got some stiff competition.

Opinions on the Piaget Polo?

Also check Chopard's Alpine Eagle and GP Laureato if you haven't.

I like the looks of the watch but have never seen it in person or handled it.

Owned one. Very nice watch. A little big for me but no complaints and you won’t find any either

I honestly hate it

Their Polo 45, now discontinued, is much better in terms of design, movement, complications. As well as Emperador, Black tie, Altiplano

In short, I'm a big Piaget fan but this new Polo is a monstrosity - and that bracelet honestly is one of the worst in terms of integrated pieces

Here’s the backstory: I was looking for a watch to commemorate a special trip to Monaco.

I was basically hurried out of both the Rolex AD and the Audemars Piguet boutique with “nothing for sale” at either. (I knew it was a long shot at both.) The SA at the Piaget boutique was very friendly and accommodating. She had both the gray and the blue dials in stock as well as the chrono in blue. All in all, the buying experience offered a focus on customer satisfaction that I wish the other brands offered.

Despite some of the critiques about the Polo’s bracelet integration versus older Polos, I really liked the wrist feel of the Polo on the SS bracelet, versus the strap. The chrono is a little thicker and I prefer the simplicity of the non-chrono. I went with the blue dial because I wanted a more casual piece.

This isn’t the best picture but it shows both the dial and the bracelet integration.

I’m very happy with my purchase. I’m glad to give Piaget my business and I now have a nice piece to remember my trip by.

The Black Tie is great but impossible to find now even used.
