Hi guys !
we know you enjoy a LOT the Daytona dive, so now let us be serious , you already know we are mad ... but expect worse !

we have decided to set an official dive record for a Rolex Daytona !

This morning the dive was 207 ft ! (63 meters) , no pics on this dive guys sorry but the camera could not go that deep !

but here is the log of the dive out of my Suunto D6

parameters : dive on air , 207 ft , 10 minutes botom time, 15 minutes deco on Nitrox EAN 75

note that the pushers of the daytona where UNSCREWED ! .... so guys stop beeing worry of Daytona getting in water : a daytona is definitly a WATERPROOF watch

All the screw down pushers are for is to stop activation of the chronograph function while watch is underwater.Now if the chronograph function was activated while underwater then waterproofness could be compromised.

no it will not pushers have been tested (but not at 200 ft)
call us mad, but we are confident with our oysters;)

Nice shot! The Deepest I went with my Submariner is around 15meters! hehe

Are you actually saying that you have depressed the pushers whilst diving and submerged under water?

I am saying that you can actually use the pushers under water without any problem (tested at 30 meters)

Very beautiful spot.

I spent a few weeks hanging out down there in Nov 1999. Basically stayed in Nice and took a few day trips between Monte Carlo and Marseilles.

I didn't do any diving though. Just enjoyed the scenery.

but very seriously and as a reminder for divers , a 200 ft deep dive need preparation, planning and serious experience
as a divemaster, I remind you that the depth limit of recreationnal dive is 100 ft, and only properly trained technical divers can do such dives, involving knowledge of nitrogen narcosis, gas mix and long deco stops

I am truly enjoying these posts spiro, and I mean it. Learning something every time too. Really fascinating stuff, and I love that you guys are taking down non-dive watches.

How about a Datejust next time? Seems people forget even they can handle deeper dives than this one.
