Must have just updated it. Doesn’t say anything about a gift but now he’s thinning his collection.

It's either fake or a really poor example of workmanship.

I'd say fake.

This seller has also only sold 2 other items before, 1 being a ladies Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date which I also believe to be fake.

Also big red flag for me, while the actual items are private in the last month looking at feedback he's received he has made at least 2 purchases from sellers who sell boxes, hang tags etc.

No looking good to me

Bezel pip looks wrong..Coronet at 12 looks too far away from triangular marker, hour plots look wrong...And wrong box for a 2016 sub 114060..

The booklet that says "Submariner Date" is a bit of a give-away ......

At best . . .

. . . the seller is a liar.

On the lady's Date he recently sold, he says, "Solid white gold bezel surrounds the face with further white gold traveling down centre links with stainless steel on the outer links and main case."

The bracelet is not steel and white gold.

It's all steel, and his description was misleading, i.e., not true.

I agree with all above, the manual say "submariner date", while the watch is no date model, the stamp looks fake from the poor threads on it, there is a seem between the Rolex logo "crown" and the clasp "the logo should be part of the clasp not glued to it", and I think the most obvious one is the central second hand which should cover part of the second indices, in this case it is shorter! also the text 300m, there should be a space between the 300 and m but I am not sure of such remarks whether it is true for all models or not. With all that said the seller managed to get a 4250 Pounds with 8 bidders competing for a possible fake watch!!!
