Went up in the lift, got off and proceeded to ski right into the trees, all in one quick motion. Right out of Monte Python.

I knew right there my ski career was destined for greatness.

Agree. I learned in Austria as a poor student and there are many great places that aren’t too expensive. I lived in Bregenz and skied often in Lech, Zurs, St Anton, St Christoph. All in the Voralberg province.
Great powder, usually a fresh layer every morning.
