Snoopy 50th Anniversary, made a deposit today.

Hi everyone, my AD called me today and they already taking deposits for Snoopy 50th Anniversary Speedmaster. I gave $5,000 deposit and the final price would be around 7 to 10k, they not sure yet. Delivery time mid October. Not a limited edition. My AD mentioned that Omega would be going something different with movement on this one but he was not sure what exactly.
Anyone else is excited?
Since its not a limited edition, you think the price would be insane on grey market for it as well?
What are your thoughts?

From what's been rumored on the Omegaforums.

About 7k watches will be made over 2 years and will contain some gold in it. Watch will be white with some some blue and the 3861 movement.

I just put 5k down as well today. My sales rep didn't know much though in terms of verifying any of the information you provided.

Can anyone explain how the deposits work? If you put one down, are you guaranteed a watch or is it first come first serve? On the release day do they finalize the transaction or do they wait until the watch comes in to finalize and just pick from the list who will be called?

Your deposit was to an AD? I thought only OBs would get the Snoopy?

Was told exactly this when I left my deposit at the OB today.

Can also add that it will have a white or "silver-white" (SA's words) dial with "some blue detail" and a sapphire back.

I told him that as long as they didn't feature Snoopy's butt in the 9 o'clock sub-dial I was in.

Deposit guarantees your place in line for a watch. I believe you pay the remainder when the watch is released and there is a final price.

The OB here is shut due to stay at home order but luckily I was able to contact someone at the store to put me down on the list too. I’m really hoping they make a decent number of snoopys. According to the SA, the list is already long as is most OB throughout everywhere. Hopefully that’s just a sales tactic haha. But either way, my deposit can be used for the new, standard moonwatch with the 3861. I’m hoping the new one looks different and takes a new path from the current moonwatch.

I contacted my AD this morning about deposits. Will report when I hear back. If it's refundable I will probably go ahead and do it just to get a chance to see one in the flesh upon release.

Same here except deposit was 7k.

Hinted some gold like the Apollo one but was just guessing. Really had no idea.

I've been on the "list" for a while at my local OB, but they weren't taking deposits (they did but stopped for some reason). Finally emailed me yesterday saying it's time to take the deposit for $7k. I call in with my card info. They finally processed today for only $5k. I didn't question why the change of heart on the amount. The excitement begins.

Just made a deposit on mine. Was told they are only making 5000 pcs with 2 years production run.
Will have some blue accent, maybe blue gold bezel. Will be on a strap, maybe a bracelet will be included in the box. Open caseback with 3861 movement.

Blue gold bezel doesn't sound very appealing but I will reserve judgment until we know for sure what it looks like.

I sure would like to see a picture of it before I lend them several thousand dollars for an unknown period of time.

Indeed. Or even the final retail price would be nice. Since the 321 came as quite a shock as did the latest 007 I’m guessing just south of $10k.

I think the watch will be released October 5. You should know in a few weeks if the watch is for you or not.
