Tried a white dial SMP 300M and now I'm hooked!

Visited my AD yesterday and they had the white dial SMP on black strap that I have been lusting over for a while now. Oh man when I put this thing on it just felt PERFECT on my wrist. The 42mm size is fantastic, and the strap is so comfortable it felt like it just immediately disappeared on my wrist. Thickness is just right for a diver. That black bezel is a knock-out! Loved the subdued look of the white waves. It's also true what they say about the helium release valve. I forgot it was even on there. Didn't even notice it at all. Strange.

What a gorgeous and striking watch in-person. Man I am hooked. I am pretty sure this is going to be added to the stable before long. I have been impressed with this watch for a long time in photos but I still wasn't prepared for how much I loved it on the wrist.

They only offered me 10% on the spot. Sounds like they will go to 15% if I push a little. I asked for 20 but didn't get a good vibe from them. Told my AD that I wanted to wait until the new Snoopy came out before committing to any other white dial watch, but I have a feeling this is what I'm going to wind up getting. Really impressed...

Obligatory SMP porn photos from the encounter

I'm trying to stay away from any pictures or even real life examples of this watch, don't want to get too tempted.

Please stop posting more now haha

I emailed the photos to my wife and acted like I already bought it and they were shipping it to me and she was good with it. So looks like I have the official green light! Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission LOL.

Still gonna wait for the snoopy release. I want to get a look at that first. But yeah this watch is really singing to me

It’s a great watch, just not a fan personally of white dials.

But a great pickup if you get. The snoopy is what it is. I doubt they will make it super limited again given the interest so hope you can get one.

Looks great on your wrist, I’m having the same feelings towards the white dial version myself. The AD games have been getting old for a while now for Rolex SS, I might just have to get one!

I have the black dial and am considering adding the white one as well.

It’s such a great watch, go for it!

Nice watch, would never buy any Omega new unless getting a 20-30% discount. Depreciation is for real on these guys.

These are not much cheaper on the secondary market. DavidSW has two on rubber right now for 4,175 (excl cond) and 4,575 (unworn). I can get a better price than that with just 15% off at my AD. Guess the white is a hot model right now.

Can't go wrong with the white dial. The whole 300m line up right now is terrific.

I really like the SMP 300 models, especially the white dial version. It’s the best Omega diver release since the 2254.50, which I own and love. Enjoy!

Yep, I got instant gratification on top of the 25% discount from my local AD here in SoCal. Definitely a better deal than the "grey" and used ones I've seen.

If I could find an AD near me to give me 25% I would buy one tomorrow. My AD would go to 15% tops. Same number they offered me when I was shopping for my Moonphase.
