Got an answer to a simple question??

Is it possible to manually over wind a new model Rolex?? On my Jaeger Reverso, you know when it is fully wound because it stops you. What do you guys think?

The clutch mechanism slips once its fully wound. (not exact terms but thats how my watchmaker explained it to me since he knows I am into cars) You cant overwind a Rolex.

Roger's right. You can't overwind a Rolex. Another one of their nice features.

Thanks for the answer, so, you put on the snow chains yet? That car's got to be a handful in the snow.

LOL its been icy, so I used the E39 (man I love that car, wish my dad would buy a new E60 and sell me his old 5er cheap)

My car isnt so bad since its in stick, I find manual cars are easier to control in slippery conditions

I had a 93 Corvette, we don't get a lot of snow down here, but in 94, you sent us a present. We got about a foot, with up to three foot drifts. I wanted to test the traction control, since it was the first car I drove that had it. I think we have about one snow plow in the whole state of Georgia, but they did try to salt/sand the roads. Anyway, with nothing else to do, and the city all but shut down (3 inches does that here!), I ventured out for a drive. It was stupid maybe, but alot of fun sliding around. So, I get up to the country area, and it is getting REALLY slippery, when I pass not one but two Jeep 4x4's stuck in the snow, on the side of the road, you should have seen their faces as this two wheel drive, low profile tire, red Corvette, drive right on by. I was priceless!!! I then turned around and drove back home before I got stuck too. That was a great day! I wish I could have photographed their expressions.

P.s. Keep that white stuff to yourselves this year!!

Roger, you can pick them up quite cheap these days. I noted the value of them dropped quite a bit when the new 5 was released. I love mine, but am parking it now......

As far as I know all automatics you cannot over-wind, they all have a clutch mechanism to prevent this happening

I think this only applies to the modern day ones. With the vintage autos, you had to be careful not to overwind.
