Thanks for posting. I'm in the market for a red sub (complete set - box, papers, tags, etc.) and it's proving to be much more difficult to find than I anticipated. Good things come to those who wait I guess.

Rivet bracelet...

Yes, excellent write ups on the Red Sub, however I prefer the Rolex Rivet bracelet, though the author is correct in that the Rivet bracelet does feel lighter/cheaper than the standard Sub bracelet. I am sold on Rolex Rivet, and would like to find another for my other sub...

author's comment:

"2. USA Made Riveted Bracelets -- There have been more than a few Red Subs that were purchased from original owners that had USA Riveted bracelets on them. ...These bracelets have a cheaper feel than any of the other bracelets."

Al, I am the opposite of you and having never worn a rivet bracelet until I got my 5512, prefer it over the standard Sub bracelet. I found the clasp to be the weakest part of the bracelet.

Philipp, may I also add my thanks for your superb website, I throughly enjoy reading your very informative posts and drooling over some amazing watches

Regards

Tony
