It's a great movement but still does not come near to what mother nature gave us.

Hmmm....very true, Adrian...but I wonder how efficient it would be as a pump?

Lange datograph movement. Now you know why people say Rolex doesn't really do much in the way of fancy movements.

Actually the KISS system usually works best. Also, Rolex will not say "Be careful with your watch and avoid vigorous sports." I have seen this warning about Patek, Lange, etc. I really do not want a watch I have to baby. That is why I buy Rolex. I am also not one who goes crazy about how the movement is finished. This is good enough for me. JMO. =) maverick

Well, the 3135 movement ain't spectacular, but it really does have it's own kind of beauty, particularly if you're familiar with what it will put up with and keep right on ticking... something I bet the Datograph movement can't quite claim.

I would like to JJ, but this is what happened:

A month ago my addiction became clear after I hastily got home, didn’t greet Anne properly but instead of this , grabbed a plate of food and fired up the PC to check for messages from TRF. The fact that Anne slammed the bedroom door in window shattering fashion had to make me aware of the state of affaires but I was engulfed in my own pathetic little fantasy world already.

A few days later, upon returning home I found the house almost empty and wife and daughter gone. But my trusty PC was still there and I ordered pizza and went on-line for a quick fix. Ahhhhhhhhh.

Two weeks ago I got fired. It seems that my continuously lurking and posting on TRF all day wasn’t appreciated by my boss, who received a tip from my co-workers (the SOB’s ) who finked me. After an official warning I was handed ‘the letter’. I was expecting this and told my boss what I really thought of him, boy did that feel good, I had been holding back for years. Soon I was ‘escorted out’ by two security men built like gorillas.

After that, it went downhill quickly. The bank repossessed my house and I was thrown out on the streets. It’s mighty cold right now but I’m lucky to have found a medicine against the cold and all kinds of deceases. It comes in a bottle and in a handy brown paper bag.

I blame you JJ but don’t hold it against you. What does bother me is that you don't answer my calls anymore. I need my medicine again!

Solved? Don't you mean exacerbated?

That would be the 3135 movement that Dennis (Maverick) posted on page 1 of this thread.

I'm not the sort to pop the caseback off and look at movements, so the detailing's not particularly important to me. My interest in the movements goes only so far as the mechanical features of a design that make it special.
