Daytona but in WG , had the SS and want to get either a blue dial WG or WG on OF, Sky D is a strange watch for me , too big and thick for a dress watch and too dressy for a sports watch with the fluted bezel ( Not a fan of fluted bezel on men’s watches).just IMO

But when having to chose, I’d say Blue SkyD.

I felt the SS Daytona was a bit light so I got the WG one, it feels better on the wrist.

Didn’t know you owned this Daytona is it a recent purchase. Absolute love that one.

I have owned both several times and currently have a white and black dial Sky-Dweller. It comes down to wrist size and wear. I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist and the Sky-Dweller does work well and looks great. I like the SS Daytona's for what they are but they wear small and the price typically exceeds the Blue Sky-Dweller by thousands of dollars. My experience with the Blue Dial Sky-Dweller is in certain light it can look like a black dial. I would go with the Sky-Dweller and did.

For me this is a tough choice. I like the functions of both watches.
I would take either if offered, but given a choice, probably Daytona.

I got it a bit over a year ago for my wife, but wear it myself every now and then

Sky-Dweller for me, especially the one with the blue dial.
For my wrist, the Daytona is a bit small and I really want a date function on my watches.

There are some considerations on choosing between both:

a) The size and thickness of both watches are vastly different. It will be a case of "thinner and lighter" daytona v.s. "thicker and heavier" SkyD. Wrist presence and personal preference is top importance here.

b) Both watches offer different functionalities- chronograph and perp calendar. This (although their real functions may not be used) means that an owner is likely to have better practical functionality of having a perp cal v.s. a timer in daily use.

c) Sky D is currently the most complicated watch made by Rolex. This translates to a potentially higher cost of maintenance v.s. the Daytona.

d) Speaking of "hype and popularity", it seems that Daytona had a good history to back her up v.s. the SkyD which was relatively young in the history of Rolex.

e) A case of professional (sports) model v.s. classic model? Well some argue that SkyD with oyster bracelet is as sporty as it gets.

e) Potential price increase? It is no mean feat to crystal ball the future but both watches remain as elusive as that cloud in the sky.. hahas
