I wouldn't worry too much about it. I wear a Rolex or Omega in Seattle every day and have never had a problem. It's true that there are plenty of homeless, but there's also quite a bit of conspicuous wealth.

I felt relatively safe wearing my TT GMT in Barcelona just before Covid but wearing it in London during that same trip was another story. Although I spent two years doing my graduate work in London and visiting quite regularly, there's something uneasy walking the streets there.
And with regards to wearing fake Rolex, heard from my daughter's friend that someone got beaten up for wearing a fake Rolex during a robbery in Hong Kong.
