I would argue that if this is not central to a business plan any company is going to get in trouble!

I haven't yet heard of any issues with the durability. If any issues develop you can rest assured that they will be all over the forums like a rash. Rolex watches tend to be durable.

Wasn't the Ring Command bezel originally produced for the Yacht-Master 44mm? "The Watch Of The Open Seas" according to Rolex. This model was sold as a tool for crew in competitions. The truth may well be that most of them have never been near the sea and probably not even in a shower. But that's the owners, not the watches.

The submariner is always going to be my top pick for a watch I can wear under all conditions and situations; it also has phenomenal durability and resiliency when it comes to the adverse conditions under which it can function unscathed.
Its as resilient as any other Rolex is made today, lets be honest most all Rolex watches get a very very pampered life no matter the model.

About as resilient as any other Rolex with a fluted dial.

It's amongst the most "durable" annual calendar watches on the market...BUT...

"Durable" as opposed to other brands annual calendars that are clearly not as WR or shock resistant.

Does that mean that this is a watch to wear while jackhammering some concrete? Nah.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should...unless you have no issue with $$$ repair bills and time away from the watch.

It essentially means that you don't have to put in your pocket when it rains and if you do happen to hit against a door jam it accidentally it won't need a full service.

Mine has been in dust storms in Africa, heat and sweat in Myanmar and swimming in salt water. Never a problem. I do spritz off around the bezel with fresh water after heavy use.

This is by far the most astute observation made this far in this thread.

Life is more fun-er-er being unsafe.
