Saw this watch in person and thought it was stunning.

One question for current owners... how has the matte black bezel held up against scratching? I recognize scratching will be inevitable, but have seen some pictures of used 116655's on grey market listings and the scratches to the bezel seem to be more noticeable than other ceramic bezels that are not matte.

Would love to add this watch to my collection and would appreciate any insight.

I was one who thought it would hit $15k. I am wrong. Rolex took a stab at re-vamping the strap models models and it paid off. The oysterflex was a great idea. The past models were all on leather, which I think hurt the re-sale value. I was focused on the past strap models and didnt realize how different the new YM was to them. Its truly a completely different watch. I hope its the beginning of more Yachtmasters to come.

That would be amazing, wonder how they’d differentiate it from the WG model. Glacier dial would be a great start...

Hi guys,

Interested in the 116655 or the 126655.

How is the watch holding up in regards to general wear and tear and do any owners have any regrets?

Do they hold their money?

They’re very expensive but they look fantastic!

My recommendation would be to go with the 126655, as the glide lock clasp makes the perfect fit achievable, something I never achieved with the earlier reference.

The watch is going to hold up very well to wear and tear. Fewer "scratch-able" surface areas makes for fewer scratches. Common sense, you would think. I have no idea what some of the posts in this thread are talking about with scratching of the bezel. The YM bezel is going to hold up as well as any ceramic bezel on the market, which is to say pretty darn good.

As far as holding their money, I don't know...but, I they do seem to be selling for above MSRP on the secondary market, which says something for the short term. In the long run, it's anybody's guess.

Yep, it's expensive, but really, pretty much everything with an oyster flex band is these days. (Heck, anything with Rolex on the dial ) Take a look at the OF Daytona's. They're selling for about 10k more on the secondary market, and they don't even have the glide lock. No offense to any Daytona owners, I own the 519 and really love the watch, but the glide lock takes the YM to another level, comfort and fit-wise.

A vote for the 116655 here.
IF you get the correct two OF pieces the three adjustment holes in the clasp are only needed during season change, OF FLEX strap is flex enough by itself otherwise they had marketed it Oyster-stiff .... ;)
Keep in mind the glidelock clasp is a little bigger and PM clasps are scratch magnets . Also more confidence in the older movement to be honest.
Superb watch. Keep it clean and shiney with a soft toothbrush and soap now and then, makes a HUGE difference with this watch!

I really love this watch and hoping to buy one next month.

I understand the Submariner and Daytona are always popular and sold out from Authorised dealers but this will be my only watch and want to keep it forever.

Hopefully it gets discontinued and they just let the 42mm run its course.

Did anyone change the strap for a Rubber b version or is the oyster flex comfortable enough?

Just joined the club today! Had been eying this piece for a while and finally decided to pick it up. I’ve always loved the understated nature of this reference and the OF is simply awesome. I have the 12 series with Glidelock and really love it

Compared to the OF the Rubber B strap is nasty, I tried one out and it doesn't even come close to being as nice as the OEM OF.

I bought a beautiful soft black vintage looking leather strap and that looks nice, reminiscent of an old PM Sub, but the OF is still nicer to wear.

I think the everose YM is the nicest looking sports Rolex in the current range, all it needs is a few rappers or Instagram stars to wear one and it'll hype beyond anything else because it's far nicer looking than the GMTs.

A friend of mine sent me a link from there the other day and I told him there is no way I'd buy anything from them.

When I tried on the RG 40, I felt that it wore small too, but am eyeing the WG 42. Ultra stealth.

I’ve been thinking it ifs worth upgrading my 116655 to the new version with glidelock and new movement. I used the micro adjust spring bar to expand a touch and the spring bar damn near went flying across the room. A stressful endeavor - glide lock would be nice to dial in adjustment.

I’d basically sell mine and another lower value watch to get there, or most of the way. But someone mentioned that the 116655 may be collectible one day (vs the more updated model).

Does anyone have a POV on that?

When was this model last updated? The glidelock is a huge plus. Would they ever introduce a 42 model to match the white gold one? Odd that they are not the same sizes. Thanks

The Rolex EverRose YachtMaster Club 116655

Joined the club about a week ago but with a 268655. I love the smaller 37mm size on my 6.5 inch wrist. Took a little getting used to the smaller size visually but now everything else almost feels big.

One of the most photogenic watches I’ve ever owned and it also goes with anything. Dress up or dress down it never really seems out of place despite the rose gold. Can’t really seem to find a reason to wear something else …
