Protective sticker film in Chicago

I bought a new AP that I want to get filmed with protective plastic. Does anyone know anyone in Chicago?

Wear your watch otherwise you should just sell it. Once you wear it out, buy another watch and repeat the process

Maybe try black Plastidip. 5 layers and it is fully protected.

I've been pretty happy with this product. Haven't had any scratches or dings at all. I'll see if I can remember what brand it is. It fits my AP perfectly.

I would rather wear a fossil watch than a wrapped AP. Yuck.

OP, you can always get a new bezel or new bracelet. Only think you have to worry about us case, but they can also laser weld so basically you should just enjoy and budget for a refresh that makes it mint again.

While I wouldn’t do this in any situation, I don’t see why it’s such blasphemy if someone does.

People put plastic protectors on their cell phone, why not on a $20k+ watch?

Maybe someone will add some input on how to do it or if anyone does. A quick google search I found this. https://www.styxwatch.com/

OP if you do it, take some before/after pictures

I’ve missed plastic on my watches when purchased new or when they have come back from service. When the plastic is new, there isn’t really a problem. But over time, the edges begin to peel and then you can see it. So on one hand I am all for wearing the watch. Scratches don’t really bother me. The warches can be polished/brushed at service and parts can be replaced. On the other hand, paying $88 for something that really extends the scratch-free life of a watch seems fine to me too.

You know you're right, it also looks perfectly fine on a couch too!
