speedmaster date

I am looking for a chrono but want date. Was thinking of zenith or iwc, but found this. A classic speedmaster with date. Perfect watch, have not seen it here. Think I will go for this but would apreciate comments from owners.

I personally don’t like watches the 4/4:30 date window so this would be a no go for me.

Have you considered any of the co-axial 2 register speedmasters with the date window at 6 o’clock?

Right now I think the best option for a chronograph with a date display is the Zenith Chronomaster Original

Thank you both for input. As mentioned, the Zenith was on my list. Very nice watch, so I dont have a problem with date at 4.30. No comments from owners of speedy date, but I will go for this, will trade some nice unloved watches. Take care all.

I get where you’re coming from. I have a new moon watch, but miss the day date complications of my previous Speedmaster. I only changed because I felt it was small. Lucky wife!

So I bought it. Or actually traded against a vintage datejust 1601. Very nice watch, have a date and a very nice grey dial that shifts nicely depending on light. And Speedmaster text in red and 40 mm. Highly recommended. Unfortunately not produced anymore.

Not the easiest date to read but it's there

Sorry for late picture, and not the best one either. But I still think the watch is nice and comfortable, and I have been wearing it most of the time since I got it, except for the days I have been in the office with suit.

Still like it very much and think that this will be my only retiring watch. It has timing, date and looks good. What else do you need. Will sell my rolexes and other dress wathes. And use this for timing the barbracue and pasta cooking.

I wore a Speedmaster date 40mm with the 1164 movement for a number of years. It was beautiful looking watch and a excellent time keeper.

I'm presently looking to aquire the black dial Speedmaster 38. Tried one on yesterday. I have to have one!
