Is the black dial for the steel model different to the dial used in the white gold model in any way? I don’t think it is ( I may be wrong) but would definitely not ever make it rare if so, as people will just swap out the stainless ones.

I believe the steel one always had the crown at 6 o clock on the dial. So yes, the original WG pepsi should have a (slightly) different dial than all steel models.

RSC and several posts here on TRF with identical feedback. Rolex call these dials a "one in one out" - i.e. no new one without the old one (?damaged) being sent back to Geneva so it can't be recirculated into supply on another watch without that as the original dial.
