Rolex caliber 3187 lift angle ??
Hello to all !
I am hoping someone in here can help me find out what the lift angle of the Rolex cal. 3187 that is used in the Explorer II ref. 216570 is ?? I have bought this watch and it is imho an absolute stunner - I am so pleased with it !! Here are a couple of pictures:

Thanks Travis ! :-) I thought so too that is´t 52 degrees - only thing is I have read somewhere that it´s 51 degrees and I was wondering if the new dimensions of the movement from 3186 to 3187 has triggered a change in lift angle ?

It´s a technical term in watchmaking used to define the angle of the pallet jewel where it touches the escape wheel tooth, as I understand it. I am no watchmaker or tech wiz - the reason for me wanting to find the angle is, that it is necessary to know in order to get correct and accurate measurements if you want to test the performance of the movement of your watch on an electronic timegrapher or other measuring device :-)

You are so right, Travis !!
The watch has only gained 6 seconds over a 2 week period, so it is more than approved in the accuracy department !! But I would still like to know if the angle is 51 or 52

It should be 52* as the pallet and balance (other than hairspring) aren't different between the 3186 and 3187.

Great, just the answer I was looking for !! So the increased diameter (2mm) of the movement does not affect the lift angle, then ?

Correct, lift angle the same as the balance wheel and pallet fork are the same as other Rolex movements. Great Picts!
