Lastly, I think I just want to try different things.

So, there it is. I'm sending it to One of our Trusted Vendor's for an exchange...

I am perplexed to say the least. Anyone ever experience this?
Hey Sam,

Much like you I picked up the SD4K just before the Holidays (great watch) and still love it. But something about that Yacht-Master 116655 was calling me. I should have an answer for you on Tuesday, I'm hoping fingers crossed!

I bought the rose gold Daytona 3 months before this watch came out and I was little bit disappointed and thought that maybe I was missing out.

I put the Daytona on the chocolate rubber B strap at the summertime and all the sudden came across this rose gold Yachtmaster on oyster flex strap at the ad.

Sorry to disappoint and don't mean to break hearts but I'm extremely happy with my decision the fit is better obviously as the oyster flex does not fit the case properly which is bizarre and the Daytona is more complicated therefore the value is significantly more. When the novelty wears off expect to see an $8,000 drop in the next few years on the value of that rose gold Yachtmaster it's worth no more than 15k.

Dom_Rellik:

You are not breaking any hearts - hopefully not your own. I own both the YM and the Daytona and the YM is No. 1. This watch is simply gorgeous and exceptionally comfortable.

I do not agree with your predictions about future value. For example, there is no way the Daytona WG has outperformed the Smurf WG (a less complicated watch) in market value - I could give other examples. I will not bother - fair if you have flair for investments and predicting the future with a crystal ball - I am sure you will be well of! Congrats!

Oh it's bought and paid for, just hoping it shows up on Tuesday and all is well!

Do you still have your SD4K?

i do and loving it everyday! I do feel that if I get another ROLEX or should I say when, it will be in addition to the SD4K and not a trade like I have usually done.

It is open Card, and NIB when I got it so I guess I will be putting my name on the warranty card, and creating a spot for it in my soon to be acquired watch case...Which reminds me to make a post about watch cases...

I'm usually not a huge fan of obvious PM watches, neither is my wife. I think some women can pull it off, especially the Daytona variants. But this one is something else. We never considered it from the pictures but in person it's truly stunning, definitely worth trying on. My wife loved it on her, NY black being prevalent and the little Rose gold was just subtle enough. Has to be 40mm though. Ice addition to the litter...

Well it's Tuesday and she showed up and all went well, thank GOD.......

As far as the heft goes, it has a very comfortable heft to her. Very pleasantly surprised, she's a keeper for sure!

I swapped out my YG Daytona for the 116655. Haven't looked back yet. I think a platinum version will be stunning!

Simply gorgeous - many congratulations!

Definitely my next watch barring any Basel surprises (even then it'd have to be a SS Coke GMT or a ceramic SS Daytona for there to be a potential spanner in the works). Time to get saving

New member of this club

I thought I would share my bracelet codes for anyone interested (seems to fit ~7" - 7.5" perfectly, depending on the clasp adjustment positions):

6 o'clock side: (E-E)

12 o'clock side (E-G)

Congratulations with your new purchase, nicely done! Same size Oysterflex as I went with,

According to Rolex Oysterflex sizing chart: EE - EG fits a wrist 173mm to 183mm with a conversion of 6.8 inches to 7.2 inches.

How does the RG hold up to everyday use? Would wear it all the time but worried about dings and scratches....

I ordered the Yachtmaster but changed my mind when I actually saw it, a bit too much for my taste, it's the rose gold that made me wary . But a lovely watch. I also decided I would like the 3255 movement. So I ended up buying a white gold Day Date 40.
Both fine watches; I think I am getting more conservative in my tastes with age. I especially like the 'heft' of the DD on the wrist. In truth, you won't go wrong with either watch.

Saw one up close and personal (as on my wrist) at my local AD .. great looking watch.
Hopefully will be a member of the club before the end of April. I have a GMT- C now so this will be the perfect compliment IMO.

I picked that up for my wife. To say she loves it, is an understatement.

Tried this on a couple weeks ago. Definitely on my radar. This is one of those watches that looks better in person than photos. So comfortable.

HH, It really is a beautiful sporty yet edgy watch!

First day wearing it .... seems lighter on my wrist than my SS GMT II with SS bracelet but in reality it weighs more GMT=148 grams & YM=152 grams !!

Exactly! So much heft yet doesn't feel it at all. I love it. A keeper no doubt. I'm finally at the point where I'm having fun with Rolex. Every time I look down at this stunning piece I think to myself, man this could have easily been a Tudor design, and I'm so greatful Rolex went through and did it! Just awesome.
