Rolex Submariner Two Tone Watch( Bluesy) Sunburst Blue Vs Flat Blue
If I am not mistaken, the Rolex Two Tone Submariner( Bluesy) used to have a Flat Blue dial but some time after 2013, it was changed to a Sunburst Blue dial. Anyway, for those of you out there, if I may ask, especially the ones who own or who've owned a Bluesy, which between the Flat or Sunburst Blue dial do you prefer? And why?
Thanks in advance. |

Sunburst, it was changed back for a reason! More character, and I can stare at the dial for hours!

For me personally i prefer the flat blue, just because I love the colour and tone of the blue.

I had the Flat blue and prefer it to the sunburst as it matches the bezel better.

Rolex sunburst dials are mesmerizing! The flat dial is just that, flat and dull in my opinion.

I would go with the sunburst dial for sure. I think it's a dial I could look at for years and years and never tire of looking at it. Rolex sunburst dials are incredibe

This is really the only watch I sold and later regretted. I replaced it with the YG version. The sunburst dial is what makes this watch. It always looks different depending on how the light reflects off its face.

I have owned both in 18k and I preferred the sunburst. The dial on the sunburst grabs the light in so many ways the flat dial did not.

Out in the sun the blue dial comes joyously to life.

The sunburst makes all the difference for me.
I had zero interest when it had the flat blue but now I love it. Really brings the watch to life so to speak. |

I am a big fan of the sunburst dial on the previous generation 16613 watch. It is a beautiful dial for sure.
But for some reason, I prefer the so-called 'flat blue' dial on the 116613 ceramic bezel watch. However, it is anything but flat. It is a deep, rich, majestic blue, it is a perfect match for the bezel, and it has the uncanny ability to take on different hues under different lighting conditions. If you can arrange to see this dial in person, I highly recommend it. It's *that* unique and compelling! Best regards, -Rick. |

Sunburst made me fall in love. Almost bought the YG version despite not liking YG watches in general!

It's the old sunburst blue dials that change to purple right? Those are some of my favourite Rolex dials.

There is a reason Rolex did away with the powder blue dial and went back to the tried and true sunburst blue. The majority love it and it just looks striking, especially out in the sun.
