Which one should go?
Hi guys,
I’m in that position at the moment(one should go) , I’ve been super lucky to get all this pieces , some before the shortage and others with good relationships with some AD’s but now I want to let one go to make room for another piece. Some things to consider: -LV was the first one of the bunch and was my daily for a while , w/o any issues with the color etc, I love that watch. -I’m not a big fan of PCL’s but can live with them, on the Jubilee I have no probl with it since it handles the scratches way better than the Oyster. -BLNR was the one that got me into buying Rolex watches again, I had some pieces before but was mainly a one or two watch guy before I discovered the BLNR and started the journey again., but sometimes I think that one GMT is more than enough even though, I have no problem with more than one diver. -116500 , again not a fan of the PCL’s , had a black one and flipped it because I always wanted a white , find it a bit small for my 7.3 “ wrist , got it recently so might give it some time , again find it small but I think I might get used to it , the black was definetly small for my taste but the fact that I always wanted the white might have affected my decision., also think that getting another one from my AD would be almost imposible. -SD43 Don’t wear it as much as I like , love the heft and size, was from one of the first batches that came out in 2017 so a true anniversary edition with of course Mk1 dial, no problem with the size of it on my wrist. I know this might no be the most helpful explanation since all have their pro’s and cons but wanted to hear your opinion. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What are you looking to add? That may have influence on the cut. Also, why not just add outright?

Easy one of the GMT's need to go.
Good time to get rid of the BLNR as the hype has driven up prices by about $1k and also a good time to flip the BLRO before the price drops further which it will. Choose your fav out of the 2 and say bye bye. |

Nice collection. Many on this forum (including myself) are on miles-long waitlists to get a shot at one of these pieces at MSRP!
As much as I love the BLNR, I would let it go given your collection. It is redundant along side the BLRO and with strong secondary values as of late, the BLNR would give you some extra cash to put towards your new addition. |

Take the profit and flip the BLRO. Put the extra $7k in your pocket and run.

BLNR would be the one I’d let go. What are you adding?

I’d sell the SD43 and the BLNR.

SD43 or BLNR. However the mention of inflated BLRO prices is a good point. Theyll settle soon and you could get another one while enjoying a $7-$9k profit

I'd flip the Pepsi and get a SS SkyD Blue...you need some flutes in your life.

BLNR because two GMT II's is too redundant for me, if not for that I would capitalize on selling the 116500.

I’d move the SD43 and the GMT that gets the less wrist time.

Sell the BLRO make more money buy another watch. BLRO will be out for years now I’m sure you’ll be able to get another.

Impressive collection of watches! If I were in your position, I would probably sell the BLRO and use that profit to help fund your next addition. You will always be able to buy one again at some point, it's not going anywhere soon.
Strike while the market is hot.

If you're getting a chrono, let the Daytona go.
Otherwise, since you need the money for another piece, the sensible choice is the BLRO, now that it's super hot. If you really want to keep the BLRO, then let the BLNR go. |

I'd sell the Daytona, the ceramic bezel just doesn't look right.

I would sell the Daytona, just reading how you describe it being too small suggests to me you don’t actually like it that much, perhaps your just owning it because it’s a Daytona? You seem much keener on the others.

I would move both of the superheroes, leaving you with a top 3 collection and put the funds toward something on a strap.

If you bought watches for looks and “because I like them” and don’t use as the tool / job they were created to perform then run an experiment.
Close your eyes...then when you open them, keep the one watch your eyes are most drawn to. Remove it from the line-up and repeat. If that doesn’t work, I’d dump the LV, the SD, and one of the GMTs. Keep the Panda Daytona and one GMTs. The Daytona is well...a Daytona and you can wear it with any attire. The GMT you keep will look great w almost any attire. Best of luck!! |
