Two tone - vintage or modern?

I am in the process of adding two tone to the lineup. I know people have their issues with them, but I'm not choosing steel or full PM so please don't suggest :)

I have this coming next week... One stock photo, the one on green is the actual watch but is poor when zoomed in

Second piece is likely either one of these. The Yachtmaster 116621 is close to brand new so these are stock pictures. The Zenith Daytona pics are of the actual watch (no box or papers). Assuming same price, what are the forums thoughts? Traditional two tone in the Zenith Daytona or modern with the rose yachtmaster? I like both and will make a decision but curious at to how others view this too.

Depends on what else you have in your collection.
The Sub and Daytona both have silver dials. I would probably go with the YM. Always liked that brown dial TT YM. Sharp watch.

Thanks. I hear you in two similar dials. If I got the Daytona I guess one of either the sub or Daytona would move on after a while once I decided which I preferred.

I think the zenith TT could be a complete bargain, at least relatively. The serti dial submariner is also a little unloved but I feel like it will look great in the flesh. Rose gold is very on trend at the moment though and the chocolate dial looks great IMO.

I'd say two tone Zenith, either black or slate dial. Compared to the steel Daytonas they're a huge bargain.

Without consideration of my other watches, of the three, I like the YM. Even considering I have a rhodium YM, I might still go for the rg YM.

Wow. Didn't expect this to be so evenly split!

The serti is incoming next week. Here I am deciding on whether to swap a couple of other pieces towards either the YM or Zenith. I have a core list of "keepers" (in my signature) but like to have a few shorter term pieces as the opportunity arises that can "earn" their way into the first team

Zenith Daytona has always been a Grail "although I hate that word) but the steel prices are too high for me. Two tone with slate, or ideally white with darker sub dial rings, would perhaps scratch that itch? But the brown dial YM is a stunner...

Literally the only two tones that I like or ever liked are Everose. Otherwise, no thanks.

Beautiful! May I ask what year that is? The bezel on mine looks a little different (flat 4, the 1 and 0 of 10 on the bexel are evenly spaced on yours, not so mine). I think there are variations but not sure the changeover.

I personally like the TT Serti Sub.
I had the champagne dial awhile back and now
have the blue sunburst dial in TT....
YM looks nice too , probably the only TT I’m not
so keen on is the TT Daytona.

As many YM owners , myself included, confirmed in a thread just the other day that's just a circulating rumour that always comes back and isn't true.

I'd pick the YM without a second thought.

The modern TT has significantly better everything including bracelet, clasp, movement, etc..
My CHNR has proven to be more of a rock star than my Bluesy or Serti was. Everyone comments on it. It certainly does not fly “under the radar”. Go with a Rolex Everose is in its own league IMO.
