In terms of market value alone it seems like a pretty fair trade, what’s more impt though is if you really like that GMT over your Sub. Seems like you’re second guessing yourself; I’d just enjoy the watch and not look back if I were you. The GMT is a great watch; no sense stressing about the trade at this point

I have the 114060 and personally would not do that trade.

Even though I like the GMT function, I do not like the PCLs

I think you did well. The watch itself is totally an individual choice but for "value" I think it's fine.

Now stop thinking about it and move on with your life. One thing I've learned:
I only regret the things I didn't do.

(eg. the girls I really wanted to kiss but we were 'friends' - ugh!)

You did the right thing. GMT is a more interesting complication. You didn’t trade it for a Omega or other brand so sleep well and enjoy.

Sounds fine to me. You can always trade for another sub down the road.

GMT is far superior to the Sub ND - popularity, complications, etc....However, the fact that you posted this AFTER the swap makes me think you are not happy with the choice, IMHO. No matter what, relax and enjoy wearing this watch everyday. Then, later on in life, if the bug gets you again (and we all know it will ), go out and purchase the Sub ND again. Or, perhaps your taste will change and you may trade up for something even better again.

This is a strange question to ask.

Can we know your reasoning for the trade?

Great point, the question should have been asked before the transaction. It is a fair deal. The most important of all is that you are happy with the deal.

I would probably make the same trade but why are you asking now??
Too late for traders remorse and the only cure for that is to buy another sub.

Since you asked, I prefer the ceramic Submariner over the ceramic GMT.

Only you can convince yourself you've made the right choice. For me, it would've been the wrong choice.

I disagree. It depends on which watch he likes better. They’re watches not investments. I like both. I have an LN and my next will probably be a 114060 so I’m not much help. In the end, no internet stranger can answer the question anyway.

You made a fair trade for a watch you clearly had a hankering for? Of course you made the right decision. Enjoy the GMT, and sell or trade again when (and if) the bloom falls off the rose.

On paper you did fine. Only you can know if you made the right trade or not. IMO you did. I hope you enjoy your watch!

You have got a lot more watch (date+gmt+pcl) for $400 - you have done very well in my opinion

Assuming watches are of similar condition, then yes, I think it's a good trade. GMT with the added complication and date is a positive for me.

Kind of like the great taste-less filling debate of the 80's.

Seems like a fair deal on money. As for which is the better reference, only you can decide that. I personally like the GMT functions and date.

No you didn't because now you're second guessing yourself. Seeking others approval so that you can assure yourself that you did the right thing.
So probably not unfortunately.
