New bluesy vs old

Do anybody knows how different is the blue dial in the new bluesy from the old one. Besides the letter are white now, it looks that the blue is different too.

Was at the AD today. Confirmed the blue dial is no different, and the lettering isn’t white. It’s in the website pic renderings only.

The case size, narrow lugs, widened bracelet, upgraded movement to 70 hours power reserve.

Did you actually see the watch? or are you going on what the AD said.

So the lettering isn’t white on the new bluesy?

Yes, 116613LB. My understanding is the new version has white lettering on the dial?!

My thoughts were that the bezel was actually a little darker on the new model.

I don't think that was ever specifically said, but rather, I inferred it from the pics I saw.

Confirmed as in you looked at the dial yourself or confirmed as in the AD told you that?

Important distinction. Thanks.

New bluesy 100% has white text. So does the full yellow gold blue and black dial, as well as the black TT.

Looks like white text and still a gold crown though some early pics showed a stainless crown. I've not seen any new models in person to verify 100%. My AD even thought they ruined it when he saw first pics of the crown on his info but it was soon verified as a mistake.

I think if any one in the market for a Bluesy will not be disappointed with either version, the consensus seem to be its the same Blue, here's my old version.

Here's the video of the mock up watches with no movement from the event. The link should take you to 7 minutes into the video straight to the Bluesy part. In my opinion the dial color looks a bit different, kind of between the old version and the blue on a DJ41, but, since these dials change color like crazy depending on the light, it could also just be a lighting thing.

https://youtu.be/wGd8WM9MPrs?t=420

White writing and gold crown in this example.

Is the metal surrounding the indices on the new model steel now too?

No, it's yellow gold, just like it's predecessor. Also, index markers are never made of steel, always white gold.

Seems to be the case, but I saw an incoming here by a member that bought an actual new model 121613 Bluesy and the lettering was white. Bummer.

The hour surrounds are in yellow gold for yellow gold models. The lettering is white across all Submariner models irrespective of dial or metal.

Love the White writing.
It pops out incredibly well on the blue.

I'm not sure about it but I don't think it looks bad, just happier with my gold lettering on mine...

I don’t like the white lettering at all. Maybe it looks better in the metal.
In photos, the golden lettering looks much better. I just picked up a new bluesy a couple weeks ago from my A.D.. Has a new style warranty card that I haven’t seen before. So glad I got one of the last runs of the older models. As for the extra power reserve, that’s nice but not that big of a deal.

Put it this way. If the new version came with both gold or white text, I would take whichever I could get my hands on at the AD. The overall blue and gold is the eye candy to me.
