White lettering sucks.

Looks out of place - why not just keep the same color scheme.

I definitely prefer the gold text on the blue dial.

I like the white lettering on blue, but I am biased...

I think the white text will grow on us.

Agreed. The white text just plain looks wrong. Gold was/is so much better.

I wonder if eliminating the gold text was a cost cutting move. Now all these dials can be print on the same assembly line. Also, the dial looks odd with white text and especially with the white minute marks and YG markers.

It is just print no way it is a cost cutting move. Take it from me, I have neither, but trying to buy. I have the choice between the two. The white text is fine, but I get being using to the gold.

I was questioning the blue color, because in the old dial they said is sunburst blue, in the new one they call it Royal blue.
I guess for sure the old version with the gold letters will go up in price because is discontinue now.
I am very surprise that the submariner doesn't have a rubber strap yet

You guys would prefer white fonts on new model or gold fonts on old model?

Seems white text is sharp, however, gold text is more dressy.

In reality, this watch is an catcher and it does its magic at a distance where the writing the least visible. This watch is all about the mesmerizing dial / bezel and center link combo. Beautiful piece that I enjoy seeing on men but also on women’s wrists.

I prefer white to gold lettering, on paper. It matches the white hour markers so no clashing. Gold is nice too, mind you. But white on blue pops.

Is the 126613LB’s bezel fixed, sorry, I mean darker (and not the same blue that was made to match the flat blue sub that got discontinued and the bezel never changed..)?

I like the white lettering myself. Really pops against the blue dial. I am really liking the new two tone Sub. It was never on my radar but now it’s top on my list.

Prefer the gold. but not enough to put me off the new one. Case shape and wider bracelet more than compensate. Be interesting to see how much of a premium they go for.

Whats changed? Its 90% the exact same watch. LOL

What I have realised since the new 2020 releases is how ppl all of a sudden REALLY like TT and basically nothing is changed with this watch. Move it 1 meter away and put the old/new right next to each other it will look identical.

The white text/gold text would be inconceivable at that distance.

I think people who want but can’t buy SS go to TT, because it’s basically the same watch, without all the hassle of paying a premium over MSRP.

Not a lettering issue, but, wow, look at this custom job.
I love this. Been looking at this picture for a few years.
One day I hope to create one.

Its not that. I bet the new Bluesy will sell above MSRP as well. Has there been any listings? What are the grays asking for this?

The bluesy has been talked up HEAPS since the new 2020 releases. Its actually probably the best looking model honestly but its just funny how the guys that used to hate TT all of a sudden love it. Like I said its the same damn watch almost and moreso at a distance it will look 100% the same.

Hello,

There appears to be some misinformation on this issue. I purchased a 2021 Bluesy a month ago, and the lettering is white. The photos being uploaded are for older models. The easiest way to tell (other than the white lettering) is that there is now a Rolex crown between "swiss" and "made" at the 6 o'clock position. Beautiful watch. I actually like the white better as it pops with the white hour markers.

I own the 2021 Bluesy. It is 41 mm, but fits better than the older 40 mm - likely due to the shorter lugs. Also, it runs on the 3235 in house movement, which provides a 70+ hour batter reserve. I believe the previous model had less than 50. Also, the white does pop from a distance and complements the white hour markers better, IMO.

The apparent misinformation is because you bumped a 1 year old thread that was created right after the release, before most of the world had seen one of these in person. This has since become settled science and we have gone back to focusing our energy on figuring out how the grays get all the watches while simultaneously accusing Rolex of cutting production. You know, the important stuff trololol

now lets sit down and watch others reply to this thread as if it is a fresh discussion.

I have asked the forum moderators many times, to change the background color of the older posts - say older than 3 months - to some light beige or light orange or something, to identify them as an older post. This way people who will click on this thread now will see the beige or orange color background and understand it is a resurrected thread.

Here is my new thinner lugged 126613LB purchased last week. The lettering is indeed white.

New bluesy vs old

Hi all, I have a question. Are there two types of blue dial in the 116613LB namely Flat blue and Gradient blue dial?
What are the corresponding production years?
Do they have varied colour tones over the years? OMG
Which one do you think is nicer?

What is the dial type shown below? Watch is 2013 year
