I doubt that'll have any effect.

Those ADs don't have any inventory. Bump them off will free up zero inventory out of zero inventory.

I’d look at the incomings from the Dallas and Boston boutiques to get an idea of day 1 inventory.

Certainly no double balances and ceramic pieces but I’d expect a few ROOs (42, 43, 44), some time only and chrono Codes, divers, 15500, 26331, 26315 and 15450s. There’ll also be a $150k+ reach piece of some sort too.

Let’s be realistic here, they’ll at least make some combo of the above available on opening. What’s happens after that who knows

South Coast in Costa Mesa is in the top 10 highest grossing malls in the USA. At times #1. Makes sense to have a boutique there along with A Lange & Sohne and Vacheron Constantin.

SHHH!!! Reign, if you give away all the secrets, I won't be able to camp outside to try to score a blue/white 315 ROC! Lol.

But seriously, Reign is spot on.

Someday there will be enough money in San Francisco for AP to open a boutique here. Until then I'll stick to Rolex.

How about a GTG on opening day?!?!?! I'll def make the trip for that.

Wonder if it will be an AP owned boutique, or a Westime/Watches of Switzerland store...

But either way, GTG?

Yeah, the SF Bay Area & Silicon Valley are devoid of any billionaires and millionaires. So I understand why the watch companies ignore them.

Yes, this is 100% correct, I'd say.

It's not the opening day inventory that I worry about.

It's the ongoing inventory.

AP needs to increase production capacity by at least +25% to keep up with rising demand (and still produce significantly less than demand would dictate).

I got a 26331st as a walk in in Boston. I was the first customer in the store that day with a friend who got a 15450st. Those pieces were on display. Who knows what may have been in the back that day but I was too happy with my acquisition to ask at the time.

The timeframe is really important here (as things continued to get crazier and crazier over the course of the year).

When was this, if you don't mind me asking?

Looking at my post history I can see that it was on 11/18/2020. Things maybe slightly worse now but it’s not like back them you could get a Royal Oak as a walk in.

I heard from them that they're planning the opening for end of October... I'd probably check around early October for a more exact date.

Who quoted you with that? If you don’t mind me asking. AP customer care said they don’t know the date, and in South Coast plaza they said it’s scheduled for 17 September. So i’m just trying to figure out who might give an exact date

When I called the plaza they told me October but it seems the person I spoke to probably didn’t know what they were talking about

Hopefully we can get an exact date soon!

September 17 is also what I've heard when I asked the staff at SCP as well

The timing of when they opened the job requisition for sales associates would support a September opening date. Has it been confirmed if this will be AP owned boutique?
