How to buy any SS Rolex in Hawaii?
I’ll be in Hawaii for 2 months in Honolulu, Kauai and Maui. Is there anyway to keep showing up at an AD to hopefully get a SS model or TT Daytona? Is there chance better in any of the island?

DavidSW can ship to Hawaii. Use the time you would have spent in the AD to hang out at the beach with your family instead

Exactly lol.. I wouldn't waste precious time (especially in paradise) to stop by the AD. Especially in a tourist place like Hawaii.

I do wonder how the tourist ADs treat tourists who want these watches. Do they just say that you'll never get one even if you come in every day? Are they pretty nasty about it? Obviously, they get the hard to get watches, but only give them to their favored customers, none of which are the tourists.

I live there and the cases are empty empty like most other ADs. The only way to get a ss model would be to buy a bunch of jewelry or other brands/Rolex pieces in stock to develop that “relationship”. Only then would they give you the real “we’ll call you when one comes in” talk.

Now you could “develop a relationship” with an AD who sells non Rolex and jewelry. But that will cost more time and money than just going grey. |

I heard from an Hermes SA that her friend who’s a Rolex SA said that one would need to spend $100k to get the Panda Daytona. Wtf?

Grey is double the price for some hot models but if you’re interested in just one watch, it’s better to pay gray prices than have to pay the same amount or more on a time piece or jewelry you don’t really want in the first place. However, if you ARE in the mood to buy jewelry for your SO and/or want an additional time piece then that’s a good step forward to getting a ss Rolex as well. Keep in mind tho, that can also bite you in the butt because ADs are looking for those who spend a lot over time; so again better to go gray if you just want that one hot ss Rolex.

Look just go buy at the gray dealer across the road and pay market price.
These days every dick and harry is buying ANY Rolex to flip. Everyone hates the market but it is what it is. Just save yourself the hassle and pay market value. Its not worth your time or $$$ buying jewellery or other brands to make up the difference in profit if the AD sells it directly to a VIP/Gray dealer. I would suggest if you dont REALLY love Rolex at this point in time just to buy Tudor or another brand (there are plenty of nice watches). Its not a good time to buy any watch from Rolex/AP/Patek these days. |

Rolex rules. You need to be physically in the store. Many ADs won't even answer questions about stock levels.

I'd say your odds are excellent to get at least a suitcase full of 124060s. For many years, scientists thought Hawaii was being swallowed up by the ocean. However, it actually is sinking under the weight of all these damned surplus Submariners that Hawaiian ADs have accumulated over the years because no one else has ever tried to purchase stainless models from them.

Are TT daytona easier to buy at AD? Also can buying a DJ get You on the wait list?
