The 1G fakes were horrible at the time of production. Besides case is gold, and the only fakes with gold are not easily available... You can see some of these fakes with aftermarket diamond and movement from 324SC Calatravas being listed on c24.

I am bored zoomed in on all three, my head is spinning, for peace of mind OP get them all checked, if not purchased from AD's.

Some guys at TRF have such a good eyes to be able to tell the authenticity from the pictures. Replicas these days aren't that easy to tell.

This is the main reason that I afraid to get it from secondary market.

Some fakes you can tell from pics - especially if you own the original bought from the AD - but there are some high-end replicas out there these days.

Personally I have had every preowned watch I bought serviced to make sure everything is ok and to give it a fresh start at my house. The additional piece of mind outweighs the service cost in my book.

Likewise. Mainly buy new, but the couple I’ve bought used were (a) from trusted sellers and (b) sent for a service immediately.

I find both the RO and Nautilus to be suspect. I don't know enough about the Overseas to say one way or another. Hope you didn't get scammed on either piece and it's a matter of wonky photos proportions.

Others on this thread are more knowledgeable than me so I reserve judgement until there are better photos.

A couple of hopefully higher res shots of mine for comparison. The rehaut proportions do look off on the 5711, but I hope it's just the angle...

Asking admin to delete this thread, and then ignoring it, is not a good look.

He's posted the AP and VC before, but not the PP I think and it doesn't look right, even from the front.

I can’t believe that you would disclose a private message I sent. The reason for wanting this thread to go away is because it’s embarrassing to me and the PP was purchased years ago and I have no recourse.

Thanks to all those who shared their opinions and now that I know it’s fake I will move on from here.

It wasn't a private message, it was a reported post. You clicked the red triangle and reported it. You didn't send anyone a private message. And I just mentioned the gist of it.

op, this is terrible and i feel for you. the gray dealer deserves to be named at this point. you may not be able to get your money back, but you could expose them. you mentioned they were "reputable"

also, Is there anyway that someone (friend or local business) could have switched them on you at some point over the years? that's a diabolical plan: buy a fake, switch it with your friend's watch, and pocket the real one. I've heard about this with diamonds of good and poor quality, but never with a watch

Was it really a fake or have you been persuaded by criticisms based on your image? It is quite difficult to differentiate reality from an image. Just look at PP’s own published 5172G images in blue and compare them with the real watch, for example.

So - was it checked over by an AD and determined to be a fake or not?

This 5711 didn't need to be checked by an AD to conclude beyond doubt that it is fake as the pic clearly shows it to be off in many ways.

1) The first PCL reaches way too much into the case and too close to the bezel
2) The position of the holes where the bracelet is attached to the case is slightly off
3) The crown is different from the real deal
4) The hour markers are too thick
5) The rehaut seems off too as others have pointed out

1) alone is enough to identify this watch as not being original.

Go and Google the best fake in the market. This one is inferior to the ones available right now.

Even those best fakes have issues with the crown, bezel, first link among others
