My 16610 serial T990623 was stolen in London

Hello all, I’m putting this out to the Rolex watch community as I recently had my Watch stolen in Richmond, London UK. At minimum I’m hoping someone might run a search on my 16610 serial number T990623. I owned this watch for several years and can describe all the nuances. The watch was stolen along with service papers and the box last weekend. I’ve filed a police report, which likely won’t go anywhere. If any local pawnbrokers or individuals happen to see this and are looking at buying this watch, please obviously contact me through this forum. Thank you in advance!

Really sorry to hear that. Can you provide a few more details ie theft or burglary, just as a heads up. Stranger things have happened and stolen pieces do turn up.

Yes, I posted the watch online, had some responses, a person came to look at the watch last Sunday morning. Upon agreeing on a final price, he paid through bank-transfer. I let my guard down by allowing him to leave with the watch before funds cleared my bank account. My bank has a history of taking 1-2 hours for a bank transfer to clear. Would of, should of, could of...I realize I made a huge mistake about 30 seconds after he cleared out of my front drive. I have photos of him, some finger prints and other evidence the Met police collected, however I doubt I will ever see the watch again. Again, my mistake for letting my guard down, so please please don't #roastme

This is common. So sorry it happened but at least no one harmed. I’d also perhaps contact local pawn shops too. Things do turn up.

Sorry to hear that and fair enough you know your mistake, but at least this thread serves as a warning to others over the ease of tech nowadays that can make you make rash decisions, always take the time to do things right, there are scammers and thieves everywhere, esp online.

Sounds like the exact same story Paul Thorpe posted on his YouTube channel. Hate it for the O P. Wish him all the luck in the world. Watch the video and you might have your answer
