Milgauss brushed lugs update

Just got a new milgauss from Aug. 2021 and noticed it has brushed lugs instead of polished ones !
Anyone else got this ??
Maybe an update or a fault (using airking case) ?

Cheers

Check the case and see if your serial # is between the lugs. If so then you probably got a pretty rare bird.

If not then you got a problem or this thread is clickbait.

Yes it is bought from an AD
They took of the stickers also from the lugs (wich normally shouldn’t be on brushed lugs)
They forgot 2 stickers on 1 lug so it has not been done afterwards. As seen here:

Huh, I also just got a Milgauss literally a week ago and mine has the polished case. You should keep it I think it's neat.

Looks like they're using the Air-King case in Milgauss production now

Milgauss brushed lugs update

Congratulations.

This Milgauss with brushed lugs looks much nicer than with polished lugs, imo.

Another pic

I think it looks great ! But really wondering if they made a mistake and used an Air-King case maybe ? That woulde be something special.
Going to contact the AD and see what they have to say.

Do not let the AD take it back under any circumstances.

Yes, it looks great.
Ask the AD if he has a Milgauss with brushed lugs AND brushed bezel. If yes, please call me

Very interesting. Several forum members have done this modification over the years. One of the older threads has missing pics, but this one has some pics.

Yours sounds like it might be a factory anomaly/mistake, or an unpublished change by Rolex? The one thing I'd be mindful of is ensuring that this was a BRAND NEW Milgauss and not one that was polished and refinished by someone that was unaware of the Milgauss' case specifications.

In any event, it looks cool! It took me a while to get used to the amount of shine on my Milgauss.

Looks good wth the brushed lugs.

All it needs now is a black dial.

If you have the right tool to do it without scratching the lugs, it would be interesting to take a look at the case reference number.

If it is to become a collectible anomaly, you'll need a written request from the AD or Rolex asking for it back, otherwise there's nothing to prove you didn't get it brushed yourself.

Unusual, I picked one up on the 7th Aug and has the normal polished lugs. Maybe Rolex are using the Air-King/Milgauss parts bin up ready for discontinuation

Milgauss brushed lugs update

Congratulations! It looks great with brushed lugs!

I still prefer the mirror polish on mine. More depth when combined with the alternating brush and polish of the bracelet.

If it’s an error from manufacturer, that is one unique Milgauss!!!

This is so weird. Only yesterday I was staring at my Milgauss on wrist and thinking that those polished lugs are a bit loud and it would be nicer if they were brushed. Maybe double check with Rolex HQ that the serial number in your rehaut is for that of a MIlgauss and not Airking?

When was this purchased OP? I’m trying to validate or rule out a change in the reference.
