I love that look.
If there was a black dial with brushed lugs, I would be breaking down the ADs door until I got one.

Either your watch is a rare bird (Milgauss in a different case) or your watch case is a new TRANSITIONAL case.
Transitional from unbrushed to brushed lugs.

Like in the past, the changes from lug through-holes to blind-hole cases.
The "T" stands for "Trou Borgne" (blind hole in French).

As suggest in post #25, check the engraved reference number between the lugs.
Maybe there is a "T" or something else after the Ref. number?

The case number is written on the inner ring around the dial. I’ll check with the AD and see if they can ask Rolex and get some sort of confirmation if it happens to be a fault from their side

Cheers

Its normally the serial number on the rehaut.

Between the lugs there shoud be the model numbers also I think.

I don't mean the serial number, I mean the reference number, i.e. the model number. The Milgauss and the Air King have different reference numbers. You need to remove the bracelet to see that. Then all will be revealed.

They took of the stickers also from the lugs (wich normally shouldn’t be on brushed lugs)
They forgot 2 stickers on 1 lug so it has not been done afterwards. As seen here:
That sticker on the lug doesnt look as if it fits correctly.

Rolex stickers are normally a very tight precise fit.

How do we know it’s factory?

You bought this brand new, from an authorized dealer, who only sells brand new Rolex?

I definitely like the brushed look. Rolex should consider this as a permanent change as it really improves the appearance of the watch.

Took the bracelet off to check the reference nummer engraved in the case.
It says Milgauss case and the plot thickens.....

I like it but what the heck is going on with Rolex these days? Changing up things about a case but no announcement or anything?? Weird. Maybe not so weird

The AD might have has the lugs brushed …..
If the watch was marked in store he may have tried to cover it up

From your photo the protective strip fits surprisingly badly …… Not the normal Rolex precision at all.

The 2 stickers that are left on the lug are very neat in person maybe it looks different on photo.

Cheers

I did mean in your original photo

The sticker looks as if it isn’t a tight fit.

Well in person they are very neat
Also few stickers left on inside of clasp.
The watch is brand new and you cant put this atickers back on so neatly when taken them off already...

I really think it’s an Rolex mistake and hope to find out more on Monday.
