Patek and avant garde don't go together. Patek is conservative just like Rolex.

I must say that although I hate that particular bracelet on aquanaut, it looks decent on the 5905A.

those green dials are ok. nothing fantastic.

I know they will be highly sought after but if given the choice of blue/black vs. green. I'd pass on the green versions

World Times are so underrated (granted, I'm biased as I have one). But, I prefer the blue version over the green.

How about that! Combine old unloved watch with old hated bracelet and, presto, beloved new watch. Proving that two wrongs do make a right.

I like the 5905A. A bit thick, but the case and bracelet integrate quite nicely. I'd love to see one in the metal.

It’s like dumping your ex-gf for a new one!
Sometimes things don’t work out, doesn’t mean it won’t with someone or something else. I think it’s a decent looking option. The 5905 is a great watch on its own and now there’s more variation for people to choose.

Looks like the new 5905/1A replaced the last 5960G on the website. That reference is underrated but maybe this new release will help drive up the prices of the old 5960/1A?

The green dial on SS bracelet is my favorite combo. I feel patek did very well with 5905/1A.

Like a lot of folks anticipate, the 5905 might become the true hot sought after piece. Stainless steel is really practical for everyday use.
The 5930 is great but it would’ve made more sense if it was another Mecca edition with the green dial
For the 5204, I wish they had came up with a different case color before releasing the slate dial. That piece on WG/PT would’ve been awesome

And how about the 5905, since even the few people who know it exists don't like it? Put it on the Aquanaut bracelet which everyone (except me) hates and you can produce a watch that's both hated and unknown. God willing, it won't sell and ADs will have something to display in their cases.

The new 5905 is almost double the MSRP of the 5711 while I am sure it’s not double the cost.
So with the 5905 PP will have better margin while in the same time avoid being the one trick pony

If that turns out to be a successful watch, you have to applaud them

But the 992 is definitely better than the 991

Like people will have a choice. The way things are shaping up according to my AD, we are not going to see any of these outside of instagram and the few posters here who have access to these things…

Not to hijack the thread but still... Looking down at the 992 Targa parked in front on my building I see one fat monstrous car. It may well ride a better than a 991 but I question the looks.

The cost is the movement and the R+D that went into making/designing it

You make some excellent points. If I may expand upon one, I don't think PP minds being a one trick pony as long as that pony is expensive and provides a huge profit margin, but not the low end one complication 5711.
