SS in UK ADs
Any Uk ADs selling any SS these days?
I’ve given up with the northern ads unless I’m spending 100k every year they are just as rude as 🤬 |

Not sure about SS but was offered a TT Sea Dweller a few weeks ago from this gentleman. A very nice, helpful and kind man.

Same in the south, need not to say London.
Either go grey or be patient and wait |

Newcastle ads have sorted me out. Stainless ym for the misses and a submariner after buying one tt yacht master a few months ago so they are not bad in my view.

I was offered a BLNR last year. So it was possible to still stumble upon one in the right place at the right time. I am an existing customer and they know us well. I don't know if a stranger would be so fortunate.
Last week I got my SS BLRO. But that was a 16 month wait. Some contributors say that waiting lists aren't real. At some ADs they may not be. Or not entirely. My AD, from everything I've seen, runs real waiting lists. Which makes it worth the wait. |

Spent a fortune on jewellery, watch servicing, rolex for wife, Tudors x 4 and received Sweet F. ALL in return. The problem imho is that the Sales people only last a short time, so trying to even deal with the same person to build a relationship is virtually impossible. That is why I travel 200 miles to deal with a reliable, honest AD. |

SS what exactly? If you are asking for a SS sport model without being specific that may be the issue. If you express a specific model and keep in regular contact, you might get it with a wait. If it’s a Pepsi, Sub LV or Daytona, it’s probably not going to happen without a relationship. .

I have been told on numerous occasions by Goldsmiths Sales people in Newcastle "Don't register interest with more than one AD or you will be BANNED from buying" So it seems to me Goldsmiths AD's Sales people are just full of BS. |

I would consider myself a good customer and get on really well with the manager of the AD, but yet to acquire anything SS. Other than an air king a while back. There’s not much hope I’m afraid apart from to sit and wait. Pretty sure Rolex has strangulated the supply.

Another thread here has speculated that the UK is not getting as much inventory due to high turn over rate to the greys and Rolex is punishing them for this... poster' AD confirmed this and Paul Thorpe on YouTube also mentioned it... anyways who knows...just fyi,

In that case, supply to UK ADs is better than ever.
My AD hasn't had a supply decrease apart from when the supply chain shut down for a while. They got plenty before and they've had plenty since. The demand is insane and getting worse. That might have something to do with it. If you're an existing customer with a spend history you will have some leverage. Probably. If not, you are one more voice in a sea of thousands. Not good, but right now, that's how it is. It won't always be like this. |

But true that I saw less incoming posts from the UK. Rolex seems ship more to US or Asia. |

They are spoken for when the arrive .Simple .
You wont see them . Every AD gets their allocation per annum .Everywhere in the world . Many reach greys via some ADs but mostly via the terrible inhabitants of Flipperville .The quick buck generation of Rolex "buyers". |

I picked up a SS sub date last week. 6m wait. You also have to understand that the majority of UK Rolex buyers have a different demographic than those of the USA, who are the primary users of this forum. So in my view, supply has been the same just those people aren't necessarily on this forum.

I took one of them to RSC for a warranty issue. Even they asked where I had bought the watch when they saw the warranty card. That particular watch I believe had been supplied to the U.K. and then went to Canada before ending up with a grey in the USA where I bought it and repatriated it back to the U.K. |

Still don't get it. Just did roughly search on Chrono24.uk filtered by Rolex, 2021, location US and UK. There are 4117 Rolex listing coming from the US vs 1118 in the UK. Anyway, small sample size and can not generalise the results.

Enjoy your stay in London. Not sure you going to spend much time quality watch browsing though... Dry here as much as it is in the USA.

I don’t get how the ADs survive off just the odd gold and two tone sales. Surely they UK ADs ain’t selling that much stock each week are they? High street rents must be high

Supply to my AD has actually increased (I'm not saying every AD has increased) but also the demand has gone up much more than the increase in supply. Rolex cant/wont (a totally different debate topic) increase supply, so that's where we are at. Demand is totally outstripping supply. For my AD, they are thankful to Rolex, as for them, it's the brand that has kept them afloat during the pandemic. They are a multi-brand watch and jewellery store.
