Daytona running fast???

+6 daily, something to regulate or leave be?

Is there a way to slow it down?

Use to be if you leave it on certain sides, does that still.work?

Likely magnetized. My 16610 goes from +1-3 to like +8-12 when magnetized. You can get the $12.00 demagnetizer or take to the AD.

One time my AD took my watch, inspected it, demagnetized it, kept it for 3 days to ensure thats what the deal was and was free of charge.

Time is relative. You gotta drive the car faster to slow the the seconds hand on the Daytona.

Also try different angles as you suggested at night when laying the watch down.

IME resting it on different sides won’t help much if you’re +6spd.

Would doubt if its magnetised as the Daytona was the first Rolex watch to get the parchrome hairspring way back in 2000 but then it was more of a grey colour. And according to Rolex it cannot get magnetised, and its mainly the hairspring is the main culprit when movement is effected by magnetism. And in general when magnetised they do speed up and run very very erratic or even stop.Gravity effects mechanical movements the most this is why they are tested in 5 positions. In the original posters watch perhaps simple regulation or down to wearing habits, myself would not worry about 6 seconds out of 86400 in a day.You could try resting watch when off wrist vertical crown up might lose a few seconds over night.

At +6 seconds/day on the wrist you may not find a position where it runs minus but if you can find a Timegrapher it will show the position where it runs slowest this will give the best result when off the wrist.

Another option is to just have it regulated?

Given the precision of my Rolex watches +6 seconds/day would annoy me a little.

Let it be unless it starts deviating a lot more.

Very unlikely to be magnetised

Also very minimal affect for overnight positioning on modern Rolex. The classic slow down is usually crown down but I find this has very little affect on modern Rolexes.

The key is consistency. +6 is still excellent but slightly out of expected running. I’d leave it until service if consistent.

You may find over time, with 50 winds it might adjust a little. In my experience Rolex tend to be incredibly consistent. Even 20 year old watches I have.

I would find that acceptable. Why risk tool marks on your watch for a few seconds?

My Daytona runs about the same as the OP's after 3 years and doesn't seem to be magnetized. Crown-up is at +2, but every other position is +4 to +6 on my timegrapher.

I bit annoying but not worth sending it in as it's consistent.
