Ed White 321 owners
Getting closer to pulling the trigger and would like to hear some perspective from any owners here
It wouldn’t be a daily wear piece but no safe queen either mostly looking for insight on comfort and if the initial ‘buzz’ wore off after a while or you still get excited by it Pictures encouraged! |

This is going to be the most biased - in a good way - thread you'll ever come across.
It is everything I ever wanted in a Speedmaster. Flat link bracelet, double sapphire, 39mm, minimal text on the back, straight lugs, applied logo. It ticks a lot of boxes on my wishlist that the FOIS does not. Things I wish it had, but no means necessary: quick-adjust on the bracelet clasp, applied markers, and a lumed bezel. I also hope they come out with a white dial that is compatible with the 321 movement in the future so I can order it and have the freedom to swap around (similar to the Mitsukoshi 1861). My only issue, which is purely subjective, is the 19mm lug width. I sold my FOIS and 2998 when I got my hands on one. It is my only Speedmaster in the collection right now, so the "buzz" is permanent! |

It’s my dream speedy. I don’t have any purchase history with the boutique, the salesperson pull out a piece of paper, let fill in personal info and put in the queue for it. I don’t think they really mean to put a walk-in guest to wait list….
If you get a chance to pull your trigger, go for it! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It’s perfection and I prefer it to a Daytona by a country mile. Also, don’t know why (hype?) it is seen in secondary values as the lesser compared to the Snoopy variants. It is an enthusiast’s watch without the headaches and land mines of vintage 321 movement Speedys.

Holy crap Wayne, I though I was the only other Canadian considering the 321
I’ve yet to see one, and sounds like I won’t get the chance unless a member here and I, hook up for a meet. I love the historical ties to the original and I’ve never been a fan off the twisted lugs, so I love the straight lugs on the 321. The dial, the bezel, are all perfect in my eyes. My biggest reservation is size … I’m not sure it’ll suit my wrist so that’s what’s holding me back from putting down a deposit. Good luck in your decision, it’s gorgeous |

I have one of these and it’s become my daily driver. For me, it’s the ultimate speedmaster and aside from some adjustment in the clasp and maybe an extra 50m of water resistance there’s nothing I’d change.
I’ve had most speedmasters previously and none really stuck until this. This has everything I like in one package. Straight lugs, sapphire with no milky ring, ceramic bezel, fab bracelet, stick hands and minimalist dial. It’s perfection in my eyes. I’ve had Daytonas before and wouldn’t go back (not saying it’s a better watch btw). It also looks fabulous on nice leather straps. There’s no doubting, it’s expensive - but for me it’s worth it. I know some would faint at spending so much on a speedy, but it’s night and day different to the pro. If you see them together, you’ll see where the money goes. I am very biased, but I’d certainly recommend it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Over my years of collecting I’ve learned that you can only use size dimensions as a guide. Numbers can be deceiving IMO and there is no substitute for seeing how it looks on the wrist. a 40 mm Rolex wears substantially different than a 42 MM Seiko etc etc. Pictures are worth a thousand words as they say … so let’s see yours and please give us your wrist size and shape. If possible a picture from 3 or 4 feet away as close ups do little to show the real wrist presence IMHO. Thanks in advance and congratulations on a beautiful 321 |

Okey dokey - my wrist is 7 inches but round - so not flat like many. I think it’s got plenty of presence and while not big, certainly does not look too small to me. For me it wears slightly bigger than a Daytona due to the longish lugs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think it might be the most perfect Speedmaster from a pure aesthetics standpoint. 42mm is my sweet spot, however, which is why I am sticking with the traditional Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. I also concede the smaller size only adds to the charm of the Ed White even if it isn't right for me.

That said, the thicker lugs make it wear bigger (a bit like 6 digit Rolexes) |

It's really something else. One will only understand when it's on the wrist. I'll galdly choose it as my only watch. Luckily, dont have to, yet.

I’m a huge Omega fan but I’ve always found the 42mm Speedmaster Professional a little too large for my wrists (6.75 inches and quite flat) As such I was really excited by both the idea and size of the 321. My sweet spot is probably 38mm but a 116710 GMT-Master is also a great fit and no issues. I picked up my 321 a few months ago and although the watch is absolutely stunning, I haven’t been able to get on with the size at all. IMO it wears much larger than 39.7mm primarily because the thin bezel accentuates the size of the dial. The watch actually looks okay at a distance but I can’t get on with how it looks on my wrist close up. I’ve actually been wearing a 42mm NTTD on NATO strap for the last couple of months, which is large for me but the size ‘feels’ okay The 321 just feels like a much larger watch than it is. It’s a beautiful timepiece but I’ve not been wearing it which is a shame. |

The 321 is amazing!! It’s a really special piece, it’s hard to describe the feelings it illicits when wearing it. For me, it’s the appreciation of having a modern interpretation of craftsmanship from another era that I find captivating. If I had to have one watch, this would be the one.
