STOLEN - ROLEX 16610 - serial S844420

STOLEN - ROLEX 16610 - serial S844420

Gents,
I decided i will start hunting back for my beloved sub which was stolen from me a while ago.

Would pay any money to get it back, was my first watch ever, 18th bday gift of my late grandfather. Bought new in 1994 from Watches of Switzerland in London. I still have the original box, papers, accessories and receipt from that time!

Watch was taken from me in IBIZA, Spain. But i know , i really know that sooner or later it will show up somewhere.

At first i was sad but told myself, it's only a watch... and i am lucky enough to have a decent collection so in a way i was not lacking of a timepiece on my wrist...

But it's growing in me the desire of getting back
If anyone bought it in good faith i am willing to pay for a replacement for it.

If anyone has any recommendation for me, i am very keen to hear, meanwhile i activated my Rolex dealers in the UK and Italy, and trying to find my way up to Rolex headquarters to make sure if the watch shows up in their network, that will be flagged.

Wish me luck, might take 30 years but i will keep trying

Stay safe

Did you report it to Rolex ?
In Spain, UK and France as a start.

When a watch goes in for work the serial number is checked. It might turn up mone day.

Hold on to all of the box and papers etc.

Very sorry to hear of that. I like to think the older references are more under the radar. Today’s criminals appear to be well versed in watches these days.

You cant just report it. RSC should ask you for a police report or something like that. Not sure how long ago your watch was stolen but getting a police report for something many years ago might be hard.

Otherwise any dick and harry can report a watch stolen when in fact it was never stolen.

Some idiot might want to just be an ass and report a watch he saw some pictures off online and use that serial to report a watch stolen.

Without proper checks and balances Rolex will not do anything.

Sorry to hear buddy. I was there this year and sightings of Rolexes were pretty common so very surprised to hear this!

Unfortunately people keep these watches for decades without servicing-especially if they are known to be hot.

There are some groups on facebook for people who have had their Rolexes stolen, maybe try those as well.

So sorry to hear this, especially considering the watch's origin. I really wish you luck in getting reunited.

How long ago was your watch stolen? Did you file a police report?

Posting serial number and reward money on many platforms may help.
Good luck, hope one day you get it back
