Watches of Switzerland - Prepaid and Still Waiting

I prepaid for a Rolex back in February at Watches of Switzerland. I was told I would receive it within 90 days and still no Rolex. Has anyone experienced this?

What model?

But long story short, yes. Did they actually say “you will receive the watch within 90 days,” or was that simply an estimate? Usually it’s the latter, and the customer mistakes it for the former. AD allocations depend largely on the randomness of Rolex’s shipments.

Well, what did they say when you asked them about it? You have asked them about it... right?

Did you prepay the full cost or just a deposit.

Surely this can't be real.

WoS aren't some fly-by-night back street outfit, so a simple call to the store for an update would no doubt sort the issue out.

I've also never personally heard of any AD taking the full payment in advance these days simply because they can't guarantee when the watch will arrive. (I know because I've tried offering to pay in full in advance for a piece from the AD I've known and used for the last 25 years, and they said no for that very reason).

Weird….and troublesome. I was looking forward to the new WOS store opening soon in my town. I’m hoping they can get something moving in my direction but maybe not?!

Actually you may have a point - there was a matter a few months ago where WOS was compromised sending out emails asking people to do just this.

Of course - a simple call to the store would resolve any issue.

Without knowing more details and the model no one here can say.

Did you contact them and ask?

Prepaid these days means you’re next in line for the combination you requested. They still have to get it. And nobody knows when these days. Patience Padawan

I paid in full for a specific Ladies' Datejust configuration in June from Ben Bridge. It arrived after 2 months. So it's a thing that ADs accept pre-payment; however, not enough information here to help.

A gold Daytona and I was told I would receive it in 90 days since I paid for it in full.

No need for the snakry comments. Learn how to read. I said I prepaid for a Rolex in February from WOS and haven't received it yet. I'm asking if anyone else has been in this situation. What is so difficult to understand about my comment and question?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m 99% sure the AD can’t actually order a PM Daytona, so there’s absolutely no way they’d know they would have one for you in 90 days (unless they actually had one at that very moment in the back, in which case it seems like they’d have just sold it to you if they were willing to allocate one to you).

They said they haven't received any Rolex shipments in "a while". Recently, the SA is saying he doesn't know when it will arrive.
