The 5740 has real heft and wears very different. Took me a bit of time to get used to it. But the combo of heft and slimness is amazing. I expect that I will wear the 5740 the most of all my Nautis going forward.
Congratulations on the latest addition.

5740 is a superb piece to wear and I’m sure you will be right on the wrist time share going forward.

Super nice! Congratulations. Comparisons to your 5168g while in the wrist?

Big difference. I am a big fan of the 5168g. I love thin watches, and although some complain it is too flat, I find it very comfortable. It is noticeably thinner than the 5726. And because the 5168g has a bigger case diameter, the thinness is even more noticeable.

And secondly the weight. The G provides a lot more heft and substance when wearing it. The 5726 wears a lot bulkier but lighter. If forced to choose, I would go 5168g.

Don’t get me wrong, I am super happy to have the 5726 in my collection, but like the 5980 and 5990, for me these are not “core” Nautilus models. A Nautilus is a dressy watch and that means thin, ie below 10mm in my book. 11, 12 and 40 is core Nautilus. I would not hesitate to wear those to work. 5726, 5980 and 5990 are more sporty and great for the weekend.

Thanks golfski, happy you also managed to get a 5168. Great combo with your 5524!
