15202 or

This has been a grail of mine for some time. Because I've never got my hands in it until today it's been a mythical creature that I always figured would be perfect eventually... I often used to enjoy fantasising about one day acquiring it....

The trouble was I didn't fall in love with it like I hoped I would

It seemed a little too small.. Slightly underwhelming... Where as the 15400or seemed a little too big. The extra points being I had a steel 15400 years ago - where as the jumbo is a completely new entity to me... So the jumbo did feel more special - just unfortunately not to the degree I had hoped for £40000

Perhaps it will grow on me... Or perhaps I need a new grail??

If you are not bonding with it, then I'd let it go...

But man that watch is GORGEOUS!

If it doesn't sing to you, then move it along mate - perhaps a 5711/R? While I appreciate AP and the Royal Oak design, I really prefer the Nautilus in terms of overall aesthetics and feel on the wrist.

As stated, the AP looks great on you, but...

40.000£???? Just found you a new one in England for 27.500, of course it's not worth 40k but 27.5 you might find it more appealing, I have the same thing with the Patek 5167R, at retail I find it not nice, at a good discount it's much nicer, here's the link

I also find the Nautilus line much nicer, but it's up to you

You are just trying out or you have already bought it? As a general rule, I never buy any watch without first trying it on, no matter how appealing it looks on photo or video. Nothing beats wearing the real thing.

IF a watch stops singing to you (or never starts) time to move on...

Thanks so much

This price might swing things into a far better light....

I haven't bought it yet it was the first time I ever tried one on.... but I think I should also try a 5711 - though something tells me they don't come much under rrp....

For a watch to come with the price tag that one comes with, I would want to be head over heels in love with it.

I felt the same way, the bracelet is superb but the blue dial just didn't pop enough for me. I have the 5711/1R which I love and thought that PP AP pairing would be tremendous, so I will give the AP another try with maybe better lighting, I also don't like the price.
