Opinions on Nikon P100

I am looking for a new camera, nothing pro, does anyone have experience with this model? Options within the same price range?

Thank you!

I did quite a lot of research last year about this time

I eventually bought the Canon EOS 450D. Great Camera & takes great pictures

Have a look at this site - helped me out a lot. I also worked beside a guy who's hobby was cameras so he helped out a lot. I had it narrowed down to about 4 models but went along to a local camera shop & handled all 4 which quickly got 2 scored off list. If your buying off the net - make sure you defo handle the camera first whatever your going to buy. I've got big\ shovel hands & the 2 I scored off the list felt kind of too small.

Good luck with your purchase

Thank you for your advice, will definitively stop by and have a 'hands on experience', looking as well into your suggested website.

Cheers!!

visit dpreview.com for tons of reviews and info. if you think photography will be a hobby for you, definitely look into an entry level SLR. A used one (last years models) will only cost you about 300-400.

But if you are just looking for a camera to record memories, I'd say to upgrade to a phone with a good camera. You always have your phone, but dont always have a camera!

Have fun shopping!
