AP Dual Time Question

Hello Guys...

I went to look at this AP Dual Time today... beautiful watch!

However, the AD told me that they stopped making this watch now and its the last one they have in the shop!

Anyone confirm this?

Also I called to check about a 1.5 link and the Service Center was not helpful at all. They told me that I had to send the watch into there service centre via the AD and then they will check out the watch and then let me know if a 1.5 link is available for this watch! Sound a bit much just for a simple link no?

I am not sure, it would be a shame if it was discontinued. I used to have that exact same configuration of the Dual time, a great watch, with very well designed and useful complications, the Second time zone clock was very easy to use and it was nice to have the power reserve indicator.

I had some minor issues with it, it was sort of annoying to set the date quickly, no second and it did not have a display back. Not major quibbles, and I sold it to fund another purchase, I don't think I would buy it again, I'd go 15400 or Jumbo, but it's a nice watch.

Strange that your AD couldn't answer the question, nor could the service center. Maybe try calling the NYC boutique or the U.S.A. Service center, they have been very helpful over the phone.

I was at the AP boutique in Geneva last week. They confirmed that AP did stop making the Dual Time for a while, but that they have now started production again. Also, you will see that it is currently on the AP website.

As for the 1.5 link....I wanted to have one because Imknow what my wrists are like in the summer. They sold me one without attaching it to my watch. Cost 230 CHF.

Hope that helps.
