Indeed, there were (and are). So far, this thread has NOT moved into lockdown territory, but has come close a few times. We are monitoring it, however. When the thread crosses the line, it will be closed.

So I see. Must be the recent New Moon or something.

Thanks for the kind words. Always good to chat with you, my friend.

The moderators rely on the members to report inappropriate behaviour.

The latest thread was not reported until page 6 or so. As soon as it was reported it was closed down.

This ain't a mens club for playboys with playboy bunnies and the like to be posted.

JJ you are wrong and the gratuitous depiction of scantily clad women has always been said to be the provence of the internet other than this forum. You might like it, well you can, just not here. The internet is filled with that stuff at varying levels. However this is a watch forum that specialises its focus on Rolex.

Bikini women and the like will not be permitted to be depicted, and discussion about women shall similarly not be allowed.

By not reporting these kinds of posts the problem has gotten out of control.

My point was that Steve said when closing the thread that I was equally to blame for the offensive thread because I hadn't directly reported to the mods. Yes, I truly believe he was referring to me because I had recently cited the fact that mods KNEW ALL ABOUT what was happening. Feigning ignorance on the part of the mods? Cmon, forget about having monitored it, some of you POSTED in the thread after the complaints by the women. I was supposed to write a note when all of you were here reading it? Please.

I was determined not to post but I can't help it anymore.

-Thank you, first and foremost, to the members who have directed kind comments towards me. I will try and respond to those PMs, but please know that I appreciate you all.

-On the previous offending threads, as another member has said, Mods were on them while they were going downhill. We can see their names at the bottom, you know.

-The men saying "they don't get it" are just making it worse. It doesn't matter if you get it or not, you're not the ones who were offended.

-I don't think any of us have a problem with "photos of beautiful women." It was the ill-timing and the eventual downfall of those threads that bugged me.

Once again, I think a thread is going on and on that should just be locked.

We seem to be talking about two different threads here. I'm talking about this one.
