Gondolo 5124J-001 Yellow Gold - Incoming

Brinkhaus in Vancouver, BC, Canada provides each client with a one-of-a-kind experience with purchase of a high-end timepiece or jewellery item. Acquiring a luxury item should be nothing but sheer pleasure, and the wonderful people at Brinkhaus certainly make it so. And without the assistance of Vijay and Irina, I would likely have never been able to acquire this fine timepiece, or at least for a few years.

For over ten years, the Gondolo has been my grail gold timepiece. Beautiful Art Deco style case and exquisite opaline dial. And all yellow gold accents and hands. The leather strap is the finest, and the colour is sublime. The manually wound movement fits the case exactly, and is beautifully hand finished. The entire watch is a true work of art.

For years, Brinkhaus has made their own jewellery. Amazingly, they had a yellow gold ring with lovely ruby cabochon, the shape of which goes beautifully with the shape of the watch case. The ring fit my finger exactly, as though whoever made it had done so as an exclusive custom job!

I absolutely love the Gondolo, and believe it is one of the most unique timepieces created. And does not seem to get a lot of representation on the watch forums. As such, I present rather a lot of photos. I hope you enjoy them:

The Calatrava symbol is embedded in silver on top of the case:

My Friend Vijay and I. Thank You for a remarkable experience!

This was a truly remarkable experience, and a remarkable timepiece! Thanks for looking. Hope to do lots more posts in the future.

Cheers,
Carl

Congratulations, Carl! It's so nice to finally get to see the box it came with and other items too. WOW! Absolutely stunning and elegant, amazing. I'm also very happy to hear how the service throughout this process pretty much exceeded your expectations. You'll enjoy winding this one each day! Enjoy in good health, my friend!

Congratulations! It’s a beautiful watch and looks perfect. Was that BNIB or did they help you source a used one?

Congrats again!

This is a brand new one. I knew which model I wanted exactly, and was in disbelief when I went to the AD a few months ago and it was in the display window. It was the only one they were allotted this year and next. If I had to order it, I would have to wait a year at the very least. Very fortunate for me.

Cheers,
Carl

Thanks, Rommel. I do hope to make it out to Toronto this year, so you will get to see it in real life! I never thought I would get to own this watch in my lifetime! The joy of winding it daily is indescribable.

Cheers,
Carl

I should have included a photo of the official Patek Philippe watchmaker loupe, in a beautiful hardwood, that was presented to me:

Wow, that Loupe really adds a nice touch to the overall package! You'll have a blast admiring that lovely movement under magnification Seems like every aspect of this lives up to the Patek Philippe reputation.

Thank You. The Gondolo is actually quite a small piece. It just has a great wrist presence.

I see that you have AP as well. Do you deal with an AD in Vancouver?

Many thanks,
Carl

I do deal with the AP AD in Vancouver but more for Rolex and Jewelry. Their AP selection is quite lean at the best of times.
